I said slim odds, not impossible.

This is a copy & paste of how the odds for that fight were handled at one sport book:

*Jimmy Vaccaro, who ran the race and sports book at The Mirage Hotel & Casino, said: "Nobody thought Douglas had a chance. So the question was, 'What do you make the line?' My initial instinct was to make it 12-1, but I realized we'd get killed with Tyson money. So I made it 27-1. Right away, someone bet $54,000 to win $2,000, so I upped it to 32-1. A guy from California comes in and bet $93,000 to win $3,000. I can’t find anyone willing to take Douglas. So now, I make it 37-1, and it stayed there for a while. I think one guy bet $1,000 on Douglas. Now it’s three weeks before the fight, and I said we’re going to 42-1. The night of the fight, it’s still 42-1."

      *BoxRec

Jacobs is roughly a 9-2 underdog for this fight.

Very slim odds of that happening but I think it's his only route to victory.
especially after what lemieux did to stevens....but unless his defense is on point or somehow he catches GGG with a big punch late in the fight, it is a long shot to say the least.

            Very true.
But something tells me Triple-G won't slack off on training like Tyson did.

He never does. He took a two week vacation after stopping Brook and resumed training even with no fight scheduled.

Sergio Mora says Jacobs is the hardest puncher he's every faced and contends that Golovkin will get hurt and how he reacts to that "shakiness" is key. Mora hurt Jacobs in their first fight.

Jacobs cannot win Golovkin's IBF belt because he did not participate in that organization's same day weigh-in which requires a fighter to not be over 10 pounds of the weight limit of that fight. GGG weighed 169.6 pounds.

Base Purses: Golovkin $2.5 million, Jacobs $1.75, Roman Gonzalez $550,000

For the headliners that does not include PPV points. Those are career high purses for Gonzalez and Jacobs.

Awful decision. Great fight though. They have to do a rematch

                      115-112 is a terrible scorecard for GGG/Jacobs.

Super impressive performance by Jacobs. He took GGG's power and neutralized his body attack. Great fight.

LOL...GGG just said he couldn't destroy Daniel because he is a very good fighter.

With a 10-8 round for GGG?

A non 10-8 round with 7 rounds for one and 5 for the other is 115-113.

Kudos to Jacobs for performing better than most people thought he would. good fight. i'm curious to see the PPV numbers. i felt this shouldn't have been a PPV fight, especially with march madness going on.

Hmmm.... two of the three judges give Jacobs the final round and the last three rounds of the fight-Might have been playing catch-up with the score.
