Like did you even spar? Ive never seen a fighter appear to have no game plan for his opponents strength like that.

exactly....and tyson gives mcgregor zero chance against mayweather too. p.s. funny how floyd isn't so quick to sign to face such a tremendously overmatched opponent he has been calling out for quite a while. and he really can't dictate the share because it is a BOXING match and not a mixed martial arts match, so i wonder what's the hold up?

It seems like his plan was to carry his right hand low, absorb left hands and hope Stevenson broke his hand on his forehead or something.

His corner didn't even address it really in between. When the advice is "dont throw punches, just try to survive...."

Virgil Hunter is being given credit for stopping the fight, but I don't think he really wanted to send Fonfara out there for the second round, thus the shaky advice about clearing the head before even throwing a punch.

Stevenson is the Deontay Wilder of 175. Both have only one weapon. Both have crude skills. Both are incredibly overprotected by Al Haymon. Both are the most overrated fighters in boxing, who would be destroyed by the opponents they're ducking in their respective weight classes.

Joshua handles Wilder with ease. Kovalev and Ward swat away Stevenson like a fly on a porch during a warm summer night.

Stevenson did nothing Saturday night except prove that maybe he should fight a legitimate opponent for a change.

Don't want to beat a dead horse but I don't think Beterbiev will ever get a chance to fight Ward, Kovalez, or Adonis.

guess he beat kovalev in the amateurs....would be an interesting rematch once he's ready.

i've brought it up already but no reason to talk about it again until it is official....for whatever reason, mayweather is taking forever to sign the dotted line. unfortunately, canelo-GGG tied up the 9/16 slot, so they are looking at 8/26 now. looks like the deal dana offered was $25 million each, which is MORE than fair considering conor will be BOXING only. conor, who does NOT need this fight at all, signed without a problem....still waiting on floyd, however. i still think this should be an exhibition only considering the nature of the fight and conor never having a pro boxing match before, much less going 10 or 12 rounds. and to promote this as an official boxing match is pretty insulting to boxing fans.

Floyd Mayweather Jr. retracts date of Aug. 26, previously scheduled for a proposed Conor McGregor crossover fight, according to Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC).

Why? It's not a real fight. It's a freak show.

This should be fun. Part of me wants to go to this fight for the spectacle of it. But part of me doesnt feel like throwing away hundreds of dollars just for spectacle.
