Re: Boxing Off-Topic
exactly...the whole thing was strange. did ortiz actually feel sorry for doing it? was he mocking floyd? was he giving floyd too much respect? that and never demanding a rematch (which floyd said he would give in the interview after the fight). i just have a feeling something strange like this will happen in the floyd-conor fight. maybe conor can catch floyd "not defending himself" while the ref is looking the other way. that might be his only chance....lol.Comment

Ortiz wasn't mocking Floyd, he was just being affectionate. I thought it was embarrassing.Comment

Re: Boxing Off-Topic
Hey guys, I just created my account. I'm not able to start a forum. Any idea why? It's saying I don't have privileges yet or something similar if I'm remembering correctly.
Is it true that Download a Boxer on Fight Night Champion SERVERS our down or it's just my system. Haven't been able to download a boxer CAB in days.Comment

Re: Boxing Off-Topic
I think he realized how blatant the head butt attempts were and then tried to flip the script by being so apologetic and empathetic that it wouldn't seem so egregious. He got so into his routine that he forgot he was in a fight out to hurt his opponent.
I do wish it played out differently without Floyd throwing those bombs when he wasn't paying attention - it had the potential to be an even more interesting fight.Liquor in the front, poker in the rear.Comment

that he is....he had the size and build of a fighter, but never the heart. i mean, the guy was smiling after that loss rather than livid demanding a rematch. in retrospect, maybe he never really thought he could beat floyd.Comment

Re: Boxing Off-Topic
I agree with you, but my best attempt to break down Ortiz's psyche during those moments would be that he was trying to not get DQ'd.

Re: Boxing Off-Topic
You guys must be drunk thinking little Mikey Garcia will walk through broner. No way Jose, guess you really don't know Boxing.
I've trained with Broner and Raushee Warren and Ricardo Williams , we've ran Eden Park together in our hometown Cincinnati , trained with Mike Stafford at Mt Auburn Pal gym for years. And honestly I have to say this is the most focus Twin has been in years. He is also working with a new stregth and conditioning coach and his body has been looking 100% since the 3rd week of training. Most importantly like I stated before he is FOCUS 100%. He usually trains in Colorado for half the training camp for the greater altitude than here in Cincy. But he has spent the entire Training camp In Vegas and Colorado and hasn't seen family in months.
You Broner haters are in for a rude awakening. Hard work beats talent every time. Anyone who argues that Adrien isn't the more naturally talented athlete with better skills is a damn lie. At the end of the day it's whoever works the hardest in the training camp because both sides are coming with same goals.Last edited by Eiran; 07-27-2017, 10:56 AM.Comment

Re: Boxing Off-Topic
Who hates Broner?
The odds have plummeted from Broner as a 5-1 underdog to currently less than 2-1.
I'm just looking forward to a great fight.
The main undercard will feature Jermall Charlo against Argentina's Jorge Sebastian Heiland. It will be Charlo's first fight at 160. Heiland KOed Matthew Macklin three years ago and is currently the WBC's #1 challenger. Sanctioning body politics aside, I'm sure Jermall could have picked an easier opponent for his middleweight debut. Watch for his uppercut.Comment

Re: Boxing Off-Topic
i'm not a broner *****, but his attitude was questionable in the past. especially when he said he would never fight floyd. that was unacceptable to me. you have to WANT to beat the best, no matter who it is. i always thought with the right training and focus, he could be a top tier fighter. i really think floyd befriended him so he wouldn't have to face him since he would be a legitimate threat to beat him. (floyd is going to be at the fight as well). imo, broner was more deserving of a shot than berto was in floyd's last fight.Last edited by sheredia; 07-27-2017, 10:56 PM.Comment

EDIT: I didn't find him funny at the weigh-in. He was just a jerk.Last edited by JayBee74; 07-28-2017, 05:14 PM.Comment
