I think Wilder is better than you give him credit for. He's got a good jab and obviously that ridiculous power. His problem is he gets ridiculously wild when he has an opponent hurt. It will come back to bite him one day against a better opponent.

Yeah, Wilder could stop him, but he might be in for a good "chin testing". Ortiz can hit and is easily the best fighter Deontay has ever faced.

Having said that I am impressed by Wilder's almost eagerness to take this fight with so much Joshua money at stake.

I don't disagree but people said this stuff before the first Stiverne fight too. Then Wilder went out there and dominated him for 12 rounds.

Ortiz is far more dangerous than Stiverne. More power, better amateur pedigree, like most Cuban fighters.

Haven't seen him off the juice. I highly doubt he looks like the same fighter if he can pass a drug test.

I'm sure he'll be juiced for this fight too.
Boxing's PED punishments are as laughable as the various governing bodies.

Remember David Price? After two consecutive KO losses to "not great" Tony Thompson and an unspectacular 7-2 record since then, he gets a shot at redemption against Alexander Povetkin on the Joshua-Parker undercard. I doubt that even a steroid-less Povetkin will have much trouble against Price but it's a bout that will generate a little interest, especially in the UK.

Price being stopped again this time by Christain Hammer back in February 2017.

I'm in. Price is a sure thing.
He's almost always involved in a KO finish one way or another.

David Price's return proves we may need to halt the breathless proclamations of a renaissance for the heavyweight class.

Sure, there is exciting talent atop the division. Wilder, Joshua, Parker and Ortiz are skilled and can make good fights.

But the division remains a hotel for the Bums of the Month Club beneath those four. And I include Fury in that group. He's not that good, and he has zero commitment to the sport. He's a bum.

Man if you look at it closely all four of those are not that good..It's a flawed division..I like Wilder but his technique is awful and I am not convinced of his jaw or his defense..Something is off with Joshua he gets tired quick and is slow as well he is another one who I suspect has a flawed chin..parker is decent and Ortiz is a monster because of roids he looks old and slow now..We need some real talent..I like "big Baby" Miller but he has yet to be tested..

I completely agree. I still think the heavyweight division pretty much sucks. Just because there have been 1-2 good fights between competent fighters in the weight class doesn't mean we're back to the hey-day of Smokin' Joe Frazier, Foreman, Ali, etc. I know people aren't really saying that, but the praise for the heavyweight division has seemed to me to be out of proportion to the actual talent in the division. It's still largely a rogue's gallery of journeymen and palookas straight out of the local toughman competition, punctuated by perhaps 2-3 good (not great) fighters.

Anyone give Peterson a shot tomorrow night against Spence? I like Lamont Peterson. A lot, actually. I just think he has no more than a puncher's chance in the fight.

But I think the reason people are going bananas for the HW division is because it sucked for so long and because it's considered the Golden Division.
Standards for heavy's has always been much lower than the rest.

I'll be watching, but mostly looking for the Spence skill show rather than any chance of an upset.

I like him but you said it...he need's to fight someone. Power is a mystery considering the tomato cans that he has felled. He hit Wach with everything but couldn't make him horizontal.

true....there are no legends in the heavyweight division right now. joshua did dethrone one on the decline, but has yet to be tested by a younger equally talented fighter. i will say though, the joshua-klitschko bout was the most entertaining HW fight i have watched in years.
