Yes this is excellent..we need more of these to teach discipline and to provide kids a chance and a alternative to gang culture and gun violence..I was raised and taught in a program called PAL in Ny..I learned the science of boxing respect discipline and alot of times we settled street beefs in the ring..

I suppose we should be happy because this is another strong broadcast partner for boxing, on the heels of the Top Rank-ESPN deal. But PBC and Haymon have hurt boxing as much as help it, with its insistence on crap matchups for nearly its entire existence.

Garcia-Porter this Saturday is a PBC exception -- a quality matchup among elite fighters. Let's hope it becomes the rule. I'm not holding my breath, given Haymon's history.

Yeah PK, I know you're no fan, but I wouldn't mind seeing a good fight from them every now and then.I'm just surprised this all worked out financially for them. I thought they were going down the tubes.

          Looking forward to that one.

Decent fight but not a lot of hurting going on. Garcia's left hook seemed to find it's mark later in the fight but didn't bother Porter much. I have no problem with the decision but it was close.

Yeah. I have no big problem with it either considering Porter definitely threw a lot more punches. I actually thought that it was going to be a draw. Garcia definitely landed the cleaner shots. I wouldn't mind a rematch. Really competitive fight.

I was doing a show last night but heard Samuel Vargas knocked down Amir Khan in the 2nd round last night in London. He later stunned him as well but lost a decisive decision to a superior boxer. Really cool to hear that, the first show I ever did, Vargas was on and it's cool seeing a few people do so well in the sport with humble beginnings. This is him in 2011 fighting a tough fight, no need to watch the whole thing, but it was my first broadcast w/ 7 fights that night.

here is Vargas knocking down khan last night, I time stamped it to right before the knockdown:

                kind of cool!

Another local is Brandon Cook fighting in Vegas next weekend for the title on the GGG/Canelo undercard. he was there last night and I wished him luck - he was also on that same card (my first show) and he scored a knockdown with his first professional punch!

Close fight. I had it 115-113 for Porter, but a few rounds could have been scored either way

I guess I am one of the few ones that scored the fight for Garcia by a slim margin..I just think he was more accurate and landed the cleaner shots throughout the fight inside and out..however I thought he could have capitalized on some times where I thought he hurt Porter..I also think Porters constant pressure wore him down to the extent where he let Porter back into it the 11th and 12th rounds..I am not a fan of Porters style but he did what he had to do to win..I think Garcia blocked alot of his shots but he kept the fight close in the end..I think Spence is much to quick, technical, and accurate for Porter and will bust him up..They need to skip all these formalities and get to Crawford vs Spence this generations version of Hearns vs, Leonard...

That is the big positive here: Boxing is attractive again to network and cable TV. ESPN pays for Top Rank content; Fox pays for PBC.

This is a nice counter to the increasing balkanization of subscription streaming platforms such as ESPN+ and DAZN.

Watching First Take this morning as Stephen A announced ESPN and Top Rank will do the Kovalez-Eleider rematch. This is a must watch bout for me. No site or date has been determined.

Wow. I won't be contributing to those nine figures this time around.

Yeah. It is a joke. More joke fights that no real boxing fan would care about

I agree..and this is what needs to be eliminated from boxing in light of the real fights that are in the future..this is nothing but two cats hatching a plan with a gentlemans agreement to make some quick and easy money..just like Floyd and McGregor..I think Floyd has a major problem with his ego and cant stay out the spotlight..if he really wants to fight call out Spencer or Crawford..ridiculous..
