Re: Boxing Off-Topic
Yeah, i don't keep up with heavyweights as much. But i gotta say stiverne vs wilder with the winner fighting w klitchko sounds interesting. Curious to see how wilder handles a step up in competition. Also, what happened to jennings? Felt like he should be in the mix in some of these match ups?Comment

Re: Boxing Off-Topic
the heavyweight division has a CHANCE of becoming relevant once again if some good prospects can emerge while Klitschko, Stiverne, and Wilder are busy sorting the division out....could be interesting. would definitely be great for boxing!Comment

Re: Boxing Off-Topic
Countless opponents have said that they were training for, and expecting a strong, powerful Wladamir, but a lot of them have stated they were shocked with how quick he was.
That left-hook continues to land with regularity and you could tell Pulev wasn't prepared for it anytime it was thrown.
And I'm still in awe of how powerful it is. When he landed the KO punch, Pulev's right-side was fairly unscathed. When he got off the canvas, it looked like he was slashed with a scalpel.
Despite Wlad's 3 losses, the man has been absolutely dominant the past decade.
I would think at this point, he has to be considered one of the top 5 HW champs of all time.
I don't think there's anyone left for him to fight except the winner of Stiverne-Wilder - which is a fight I simply cannot wait to see. Should be highly entertaining.Comment

Re: Boxing Off-Topic
I would like to see Pacquiao-Algieri, but I'm not paying for it.
Speaking of Fury, I saw him and other British past and current heavyweights (including Lennox Lewis) in a roundtable discussion. The kid, Anthony Joshua looks real good, although he hasn't been tested on the pro level. He did win the gold in the 2012 Olympics. He's wildly popular in the UK.Comment

Re: Boxing Off-Topic
Yeah it was definitely a slip, so far this fight is going just like i thought it would. Pacquiaos doing well, algeri is getting some nice straight rights here and there though. When algeri starts picking up his offense it might lead to him(algeri) getting hurt.Comment

Re: Boxing Off-Topic
Algeri starting to land some decent shots, starting to go to the body more with some good shots(which i think is a smart move). He just won his first round of the fight in round 5.
Pacquiao battered algeri in round 6, hurt him, knocked him down twice(although you could argue that one of them were slips, they need to clean up the water in the corner)Last edited by SPRINGS03; 11-23-2014, 01:44 AM.Comment
