    Re: Boxing Off-Topic

Doesn't seem to be a lot of interest but Curtis Stevens versus Hassan N'Dam is tonight on ESPN 2.

My DVR failed me, so I missed the fight. Suffice it to say Stevens' career is in serious jeopardy.

ESPN 2 goes the Wednesday route again, with Jermain Taylor fighting for Sam Soliman's IBF middleweight title. Taylor is free on $25,000 bond for shooting his cousin.

Stevens didn't do a whole lot.
N'Dam kept him at bay and even managed to floor him with a counter right-hand.
Steven got some shots in and even wobbled N'Dam twice, but he was unable to finish.

It wasn't a bad card. The opening fight was very entertaining.

And hearing Atlas sing multiple times was well worth it.

LOL! I'm trying to remember the song, but he sang it so poorly, I'm not sure it was identifiable.
Something about dancing. It was hilarious!

Off topic, but if anyone likes biography's, Atlas' book was terrific!

Yeah, I saw it. Stevens wasn't very impressive. N'Dam is the guy that Peter Quillin knocked down six times on route to a decision. I had forgot about him and that fight.

Meanwhile Chad Dawson is in a worse place than Stevens having just lost to a 25-1 underdog. He's claims that boxing wants him out of the game and that his hurt arm should have been factored in the decision (i'm paraphrasing a lot). Truth is Chad, nobody cares if you're in boxing.

Taylor vs Soliman fight was kinda interesting, but these guys fighting each other for a "major" belt symbolizes everything that is wrong with boxing. Taylor probably shouldn't be fighting anymore. he just doesn't look well to me. i began thinking this BEFORE he even stepped in the ring. while watching the prefight interview in the dressing room, i thought he looked old and ill.....i'd be very concerned for him if/when he fights an elite fighter again!

This made me happy and sad at the same time. Paul Williams was so much fun to watch. He really seems to have maintained a positive spirit throughout it all, though. Your life can change in the blink of an eye. It's crazy.

I'm just glad to see paul williams smiling after what happened, he seemed like a cool guy and he had some great fights. It's just a shame that had to happen to him.

Emanuel Augustus has been shot in the back of the head and is on life support right now. One of the most entertaining journeymen ever.
