Not surprised that he wouldn't be impressed after that fight.

File this under, "no sh*t, morons"....but I suppose better late than never:

Todd DuBoef and Top Rank Boxing, the minds behind getting the Manny Pacquiao-Jeff Horn fight on ESPN, are changing the way viewers watch boxing.

"The ratings success of Pacquiao-Horn also seemed to confirm what many in boxing have long believed: that if promoters put better fights in front of casual sports fans, they’ll watch them."

I mean....literally smacking my forehead here. This is a surprise?

That means he thinks he can stop him. I've been giving 5-to-1 odds to friends for a solid two weeks. When Floyd wins I'm $1,000 to the good. If he takes a dive I'm totally ****ed.

I think you're good, although you're putting up a considerable amount of money.

The Nevada Commission will not allow the glove size change. It stays at 10 ounces.

Athletes (boxers/kick boxers) weighing-in up to and including 135 pounds must wear 8 oz gloves in competition, while athletes weighing-in over 135 pounds (junior welterweight class and above) must wear 10 oz gloves in competition. However, athletes weighing-in over 135 but more than 147 may wear 8 oz gloves in competition if both athletes agree to do so in writing on their bout agreement(contract).

Of course, this fight is being held at 154.

EDIT: Isn't that supposed to read "but not more than 147"?

floyd just baiting us as usual.....he knows they aren't changing the gloves, he insisted on 10 oz. just like he's baiting us with this knockout nonsense and quotes saying he isn't the same fighter he used to be and is old now-blah, blah, blah...smh. floyd is selling and i ain't buying. one thing that IS intriguing is the element of surprise from conor. we all KNOW what floyd does, EVERY fight. floyd and ALL of us have NO idea what conor will do in the ring that night. if anything, he has that on his side. and he will use whatever he can to get into floyd's head. low blows, rough housing, trash talk, etc. anything to lure him into a slugfest.

Is Floyd saying he'd be susceptible to a KO?

Wladimir Klitschko retires from boxing so there will be no Joshua rematch.

I saw the next fight for Joshua is a mandatory challenger that I never heard of

I have only because I check The Ring ratings regularly. Ring-Heavyweights

He beat Chisora and a washed up Samuel Peter. Wlad destroyed him.

Salute to Wlad for a great career.

It's a bit of a shame that he's leaving right when the division is starting to show signs of life again, but kudos to him for being smart enough to know when enough is enough.

Congrats to Wlad Klitscho. What a tremendous career.
I don't know where he ranks on the all-time list, but his career resembled a modern day James Braddock to an extent.
He was highly regarded, then got knocked off his pedestal, only to rise from the ashes and have a tremendous career.
Undefeated for a decade and I don't recall him ducking one guy.

He wasn't always the most exciting fighter and too cautious at times, but in his prime, he dismantled dudes with precision punching and underrated handspeed.

                            God Speed Wlad KO.

no, floyd saying he is going to KO conor.....although it does bring into question how confident (or overconfident) he'll be in this fight. does he give the boxing AND mma fans what they want (a KO)? or go with his usual cautious style and allow conor to go the full 12 rounds. he's really in a tough spot, imo. if conor goes the distance, a legend like floyd will never hear the end of it about how he couldn't knock out a guy in his first professional fight. if he KO's conor, he will open himself up to be knocked out himself. that's how manny got KO'ed by marquez. manny had marquez hurt and was just about to finish him when he just plain got caught with a perfect punch.
