That doesnt really help to stop this bar fights tho its not a great solution.
    2k18 fixes

Bigs can cover to much ground on defense(they are too fast)

Late contest on laups matter too much.

    Random blocks doing pumpfakes.

Leaning shots for guys who have catch and shoot badge should be removed.

Sure it will. Add a buff to your guard when moving backwards. The forward pressuring fighter will lose his guard because he's closing distance and the one out fighting will be able to react accordingly. That way, if two fighters want to jam and stay in the pocket they can stand still.

Also, the pressuring fighter has to keep his guard down in order to move fast enough to catch the one backing up. Keeping the guard up in this scenario reduces movement speed.

If people are getting knocked silly trying to pressure they’ll either adjust or keep getting cracked.

I still havent personally experienced being unable to get away from someone.

But I havent played rank yet.

So does holding block and moving backwards also slow down, in your ideal scenerio?

Ive played ranked a bit, using slips backwards seems to do the same distance as a forward moving hook or overhand so you still get caught.

My only problem with that is your having to stop blocking when under pressure, and with my experience with lunges its still to high of a risk at getting caught, i agree with your change but would like to see movement as well.

You can actually double up back lunges to create space then circle.

Blocking and moving your head at the same time

Since there will likely be more bleed through on block (and possibly a movement slowdown too), we should be able to block and move our head at the same time.

This happens irl and is a great defensive tool, it would allow for more exchanges and less KDs.
