This is the best advice. You have to get better at circling away from pressure fighters with footwork. I also second the advice about getting good with the clinch/grappling/ground work, it really gives pressure fighters pause from pressuring wrecklessly/unrealistically all fight. You can fight with space in this game but you gotta earn it.

Re: Why can people play like terminators
I'm a former MMA fighter with over 25 fights and lifelong experience with the sport. This combo goes against all body mechanics. You can definitely throw it without losing balance, but you won't BE balanced while throwing it. Does that make sense? There also isn't any power on the elbow when you're coming back into stance. There would have to be a slight pause before throwing it. Making it the definition of a soft combo in gameplay terms.
Now the elbow into knee combo is legit. Body mechanics work fine because you're loading the knee with your positioning after the elbow.
I will also note that you can easily do the knee-elbow combo in real life as long as you don't extend your knee (less power, less defense). You can lift your knee up to barely take you out of stance, but that's not how knees are generally thrown and it certainly isn't how the animation is in game. Not to mention that the knee will push/make someone back up, taking them out of elbow range. And since you were just on one leg, it isn't feasible to follow them with the elbow.
u claim this, u claim that, why dont u just write real guide/tutorial for ufc3, information is scattered all around this world it s just sad
in like 20 post of urs i finally see something of value where u can actually people by stating facts and sharing techniques how to overcome certain problems

Re: Why can people play like terminators
Now first off, can that type of striking be dealt with? Sure. of course. We have talked about in it many of the other threads. Duck a punch and counter. Slip and Counter. Use lunge back to create distance. Etc. But whether it can be dealt with is not the point. The point is, that it shouldn't even be possible in the first place. You shouldn't be able to throw 140 strikes, and still start round 2 just fine.

Re: Why can people play like terminators
1000x THIS. People are freaking acting like it’s wrong for me to state fact that this is unrealistic. They want to moan about other things not being realistic but they think it’s okay for people to have the cardio of a freaking race horse? Then you can’t even use the push because they can literally just strike right through it. Doesn’t even do much when you catch them in the tiny opening in their constant combo stream because they either punch you in the face and the push has no effect, or it pushes them back like 1 foot and they take one step and they’re back on you like white on rice.
I can show you ways to combat pressure and to gas guys out.
This game isnt a sim and both competitive/ casual crowd enjoy unrealistic staminaComment

Re: Why can people play like terminators
I would rather plant and throw a single straight ...it will beat two jabs and cause a hit stun . Bobbing and weaving will cost you stamina in the later rounds.

Throwing the straight and landing will cost more stamina than slipping nothing. Slipping one strike without striking back is something I recommend often. You maintain safety and drain their stamina while maintaining your own. You can then take it to them in the later rounds.

On spot... people need to understand that this game isn’t a sim game and high level player and casuals don’t care about it... so or u love the game how it is arcade with some sim aspects or u find something else to do...Comment

Re: Why can people play like terminators
There are some who are hesitant to implement change though, for example when duck uppercuts were a thing I advocated hard against the head movement system and some defended it, but the majority of players don't.
The truth is, unfortunately, a pure sim wouldn't do very well for entertainment. People just don't play fighting games like people fight in real life. Nobody feels the pain, so they tend to be more aggressive. There is no handfighting and proper feints yet, but we are as close to it as we have ever been. There are a lot of systems in place that make this the best MMA game ever so far imo.
I still support the idea of a sim mode, but please understand that the high level players who are currently dominating will most likely dominate sim mode with a similar style with just minor variance. There is no perfect style at the moment, you can be a defensive fighter with great grappling like Advaita or a high offense pressure fighter like Edparker and Preunited.
If you adjust stamina settings, you need to adjust block and damage. So if it becomes that, the player base would essentially play the same style that worked for them anyways, just with quicker consequences and we would see more KOs.Comment

That's false, the majority of high level players I know are huge fans of MMA and want the best for it.

Also, this is not about making "High Level" fighters lose. Its to make the game feel balanced. Just fought BrianTriangelCity yesterday and the guy threw 134 strikes in the first round at HW. It is simply ridiculous.Comment
