Moved up to advanced and 3 straight times I get KO'ed by Chuck in the 2nd. Pretty fun though, definitely can't do as much on the ground, need to learn to counter his reversals more. Stand up I can get mine in, but he's got much bigger punching power so I can't mash.

End up with Chuck in mount on advanced and you're done, I couldn't get a hug to pull him close and he just teed off.

Much bigger step up from experienced, especially tougher to transition on the ground.

Fun challenge though, glad to see the depth and what it's making me learn.

What does it say for you guys if you try to download the demo from the website? For me it says already purchased since I used a redeem code.

Thanks Phobia, one last thing i need clarification on. What is the difference in pressing directions when doing a major transition? for example difference between down left to right and up right to left?

The difference is the direction you will transfer.

So lets say for example you are laying in Chucks guard, his feet pointed to the left side with his head on the right side of the screen.
So that would put you in his guard on the left and facing his head towards the right side of the screen.

If you did a down left then roll right you would transfer to Chucks left side. Or closer to the screen.

If you did a up left then roll up right. You would transfer away from the screen or Chucks right side.

Hope that is clear enough. Hard to explain with out pictures lol

Yes, it's up. Great game. I love the crowd's reaction to things. Lots to learn..wow lots to learn.

Should be a really fun game to play online.

I seem to be able to beat Chuck on expert at a decent rate, but I've only managed to beat Shogun once via decision. It's kind of difficult because he spends most of the match trying to put you on the ground. Even if you stuff a bunch of takedowns, you can't stuff them all. I spend most of my time trying to transition out of his stuff and get to my feet as quickly as possible. I'm glad to see that the judging in this game is pretty good though. The time I beat him by decision I won 30-27 on two cards and 30-26 on one. I was blasting him in the standup game and even though he got me down a lot, he didn't do anything with the position once he did. KO's seem hard to come by on that level, so you really have to fight smart because there's a good chance you will go to decision.

I did an awesome slam last night somehow... I was on top of Rua in half guard and picked him up and slammed him to finish the round. Anyone know how to do that? I looked in the command list but might've missed it... I was amazed when I saw it happen.

Yea after learning the game. I tend to go to decisions alot more. If I am playing as Rua that is, as Chuck I tend to get a KO late in the match or I get into a ground game. Playing as Chuck and trying to prevent Rua from controlling the ground game on the two upper levels is tough (Like it should be). He is a beast on the ground, he has submitted me only once, but his pass skills are pretty solid even when I am transition blocking he gets by often. Then you got to hope for a sweep and once you get dominate position, hit LSB and bring it back to the stand up.

The sweetest thing I have done with Chuck, Rua kept shooting on me and I kept sprawling and preventing him. I then got to the point I wanted to punish him for shooting so I timed it perfectly and nailed him with the "Shoot defensive Knee". LB+Kick when someone is shooting on you. I caught him perfect on the side the face with a rising knee as he was coming in. It rocked him almost straight up, but he was out so he fell towards me, hit me in the chest and slid down. I was just like "OHHHH YEA BIATCHHH, SHOOT AGAIN!!!!!"

When you are in someones guard with Chuck. Hold LB+Major transition.

can wait to download this tonight and put some practice in so i can beat DTX's up when the game drops.
