What lack of conditioning? Sure he's fat, doesn't mean he's not in shape though.

On second thought, that belly is pretty useful when you just lay on your opponent.

That's what happens when you have no takedown defense. Kimbo just isn't that good.

i hate Roy Nelson, the guy didnt do anything. He's lucky he's fat with a big belly. Even when he had Kimbo tied up, he didnt land anything hard, just little pitty pat punches. Sounds like Dana is gonna give Kimbo another chance on the finale and i think if he wins that he'll get another chance. It will be another Junie type situation.

Roy didn't have to do anything. If a guy is determined to lose a fight, why would Roy get in the way?

And Kimbo was kinda determined to lose that fight. Not only does he have zero ground game, but his takedown defense isn't there, either. He desperately wanted to stay on his feet, but when Roy was clinching with Kimbo and pushing him backwards, Kimbo threw a knee. That might be the worst possible thing to do in that situation. Kimbo might as well have thrown himself on his back. Committing one of his legs to a strike when he needs both to continue moving backwards to fight off the takedown, it's a rookie mistake.

i cant stand Roy Nelson, i cant get over the fact that he did nothing but get lucky to fall on the guy and was just so fat that the other guy couldnt get him off and won with little girl punches.

I wouldn't say it was luck...

And once he was on the ground, he pretty much showed Kimbo had no business being in there; he had absolutely no defense at all and allowed Nelson to get him in that terrible position twice. Roy certainly didn't look very good - but Kimbo didn't look any better.

There has to be a wrinkle in that, they promote him every other commercial break.

So, normally how does this show go? Single Elimination, right?

That was a pathetic fight, better than last week though. Fat Boy had a pretty good chin though, and damn that moon belly was something that E. Honda would have been jealous of. Kimbo did what he could, I thought they were going to stop the fight at the end of the first round, he was not responding for a good 20 seconds or so.

Wow, that was my frst time seeing nelson fight and for him to have been ifl champ the competion must have been complete garbage. All he did in that fight was lay on kimbo, people can say kimbo sucks but at least he wants to bang and put on a good show.I'm glad dana acknowledged roy's cockiness and lack luster performance.I really don't want to see roy in the ufc.
