That's total bull****. Herb Dean warned Kimbo eight times in the final 20 seconds of that round.

    "Kimbo, you need to move."
    "You need to fight, Kimbo."
    "Kimbo, you need to fight!"
"I'm gonna stop this, Kimbo! You need to fight!"
    "You need to move."
    "You need to move."
    "Kimbo, move!"
    "Move!"

Sure, Herb, those strikes weren't enough for you to stop the fight. That's why you warned Kimbo eight times that you were going to stop the fight.

Add this to my list of reasons I dislike Herb Dean.
i disagree, I think Herb was doing his job. He is supposed to protect the fighter but it was obvious those strikes were not strong enough to hurt. He also is in there to control a good fight, Dana even said himself that a little girl hits harder than that and him and the fans would have been pissed if it was stopped because of that. Since he knew there wasn't much time left in the round he was going to give Kimbo a chance to survive the round. Once he got in that position in the 2nd time he didnt allow him as much time to attempt to get out of it it because he knew he wasnt getting out of it and he wasnt going to let Roy pitty pat punch him for 3 mins.

He even said if those punches were any lighter he was going to stand them up. That just shows that Roy was throwing barely hard enough to warrant leaving them in that position.

I think Herb did his job just fine, Roy could have MADE him stop it sooner by throwing harder shots.

i know they're not only UFC refs but there are certain refs that the UFC uses. Notice how Big John no longer does UFC events.

There have been numerous articles written stating that the UFC has nothing to do with this...Nevada hasn't been adding any refs lately, due to reduced need, so that's why Big John isn't licensed in there yet. Other states have just chosen not to assign him to the UFC.

Completely agree. Roys punches were little soft slaps to the top of the head. He was just landing little shots to get the ref to stop the fight. He is even talking about this tactic to the other house mates before the fight.

Herb did a great job of 1) seeing that little damage was being done 2) Only 20+ secs left in the round, with those punches doing little to any damage at all 3) Second time in that position he gave Kimbo enough warning to show that "these might not be hurting you, but you can't just lay here getting slapped in the head for 3 mins" then he called the fight.

basically you could even hear in Herbs voice he was disgraced at having to stop such a sorry excuse of ground and pound.

I mean Roy clearly dominated Kimbo on the ground. But he displays that kind of ground and pound against anyone else and he would be a laughing stock.

Great ground work as far as claiming position. But HORRIBLE GnP.

I agree Phobia. He let the fight go in Rd 1. In round 2 he wasn't defending himself again. The shot weren't anything big but the alternative was big country laying on him the rest of the round. The stoppage was fine but it isn't going to make anyone excitied to see Big Roy fight again. He needs to be more agressive next time out.

Can't wait for tonight's episode. Hopefully we actually get a fight worth watching this week. One thing is guaranteed though and that's more funnies from Rampage . Dude is hilarious.

I saw Dana on tv earlier saying how the first 3 fights of the season sucked but the rest will be great. Time to see if he was blowing smoke up our ***...

Nice anaconda choke. I thought he was gonna get it on that first takedown Demico tried.

Is it possible for Rampage to be a worse coach?

I like page but his coaching ability is costing guys fights. He is to laid back and when he does say something its not really worth listening too.

I think Rampage has a terrible supporting cast of coaches. Rashad's camp is way more organized. Not to mention Rampage being a terrible coach himself. lol.

I was hoping Demico was going to bust up Brendan, can't stand that dude.

Props to Rashad for stepping in there at the end.

I wasn't really able to pay attention to a lot of this show, was Marcus cleared to fight?
What did Rampage say he was ashamed of himself about? It seemed to be in humor but wanted to know anyway.

I really sick of Rampage. 1) Blowing off the Shad fight to make a movie. You already agreed to fight, he your butt in the cage.
                                2) He seems to totally disrespect his own team.

That said I loved Evans on season 2. It has been great watching him grow from a wrestler to a mixed martial artist. He also looks like he is a great coach as well. Plus he wrestled in the Big 10. I wrestled in school he in Ohio and always had great respect for Big 10 wrestling. My friends got a pic with Evans at the Arnold Classic in Cbus and said he was one of the nicest most approachable fighters at the expo. That said one day they will get in the cage and I hope and bet that Shad is going KTFO of Page.
