    Fedor by GnP!!!

It has been said time and time again in the past that you would never want to teach anyone to punch the way Fedor punches but he has proven to be effective with those looping, whip-like punches over and over again. He makes it work for him and he clearly gets it done. Its the same way you would never teach a young basketball player to shoot like Reggie Miller. It isnt pretty but he makes it work pretty well!

I'm a casual watcher of mma the fight was good but i was a little disappointed that they called it, i mean rogers did get layed out but he looked like he wasnt totally out and could have defended it. Again i dont know the ins and outs of the sport just my opinion. I wouldnt mind seeing the rematch between these two rogers looked ready to go another 3 rounds in the post fight interview.

Any time a fighter gets dropped and turns his back to his opponent and rolls into the fetal position, the fight's gonna get stopped. A fighter just can't turn his back like that, it's not intelligent defense, and every ref in the world will stop the fight in that case to make sure the guy doesn't take any unnecessary punishment.

It was a good fight. I knew Fedor would win, but Rogers should that he's a good fighter and he was great in the 1st round. Rogers might be the next big thing, if he keeps it up.

I don't see Rogers in a better light than the top tier HW's in the UFC

Two guys had their prelim canceled on Saturday night because despite two prelims ending in the first round and another ending in the second, Strikeforce somehow didn't have time to get the last prelim in. So they just canceled the fight. I mean, that sucks, but it's not crazy. Cancel the fight, take care of the fighters involved, and that's that.

Well, they haven't taken care of the fighters involved. Both guys got their 'show' money, but neither guy was paid their 'win' money. At least one of the guys lost out on all sponsorship money, and since neither guy got any comped tickets, all their friends and family are out that money, and these were two local guys so they had a lot of friends and family there to watch them. And Strikeforce has yet to offer the guys a new venue for their fight.

And if all that wasn't enough, Strikeforce actually docked the cornerman fee out of their paychecks despite there not being a fight to corner.

It's really remarkable how poorly Strikeforce has handled this. Fortunately, there's a number of sites putting pressue on Strikeforce looking for comment, so I imagine they'll eventually pony up the extra few thousand to at least cover the win bonuses and save some face. At least, I hope so.

Wow this is garbage. I was at the fight and I know one of the fights in the guide didn't happen. I think it was the fight where the guy didn't make weight and I had assumed that was the reason. I thought it was weird though because usually both guys will agree to fight anyways. I can tell you the tickets said the prelims were to start at 6 and I am pretty sure I was in the door well before six. I had went to look at the shirts on sale and happened to peak down and see a fight was already going down. So I rushed down to my seat. There was a pretty long gap between the last prelim and the first fight on the main card. They would of been able to fit another fight in that time. When I went to the UFC I think the prelims started about 3 hours or maybe even 3 1/2 before the main card. You would think Strikeforce would of learned something as simple as managing the fight schedule for how the UFC does things. All in all I was impressed the fights were great, but that is sad to hear.

Mousasi is awesome to watch and a fight between him and Anderson Silva would be totally ridiculous. I would like to see Fedor in the UFC too, but like some others here, I don't think he'd be as much of a problem for Brock as he appears to be on paper. And I'd rather have an uber-exciting young fighter in Mousasi than an older guy who doesn't have a ton of fights left in him after a long career. We could be watching Mousasi knock people out for 10 years, Fedor probably has 5 of 6 fights left... not saying he's old or washed up or anything of the sort, just the way it'll be because he'll always be a save-him-for-your-big-event kind of main attraction and they really don't fight more than twice a year even if healthy.

                        Just so I'm clear..

You think Mous would be more of a challenge for Spider than Fedor would be for Brock?

Or am I reading that wrong.

For me, regardless of who I think Fedor could "beat" in the UFC, I finally want it to happen more than anything to:

                        1. Shut up Fedor lovers and/or
                        2. Shut up Fedor haters

I'm tired of the unknown. I want this Fedor myth or reality to finally play out in real life.

I love Mousasi, but the considering age, you gotta want Fedor in the UFC while he still can. Mousasi will be in, he's young. Fedor is not certain

I'm not sure if Mous would be a better challenge to Silva than Fedor would be to Brock, but that would be a crazy fight to watch regardless. Two absolute top-tier technical strikers = fun to watch. That's all I was really getting at, I love watching Mousasi and LHWs fight more than I do watching Fedor and the other HWs.

I do think that Brock would just be too much for Fedor if he got on top of him (which I think he would). Fedor is one of the greatest ever, but I would hesitate to bet on him in that fight. That's not the reason I want Mousasi more though... he's just a really exciting fighter to me and I think the LHW division is basically the best in MMA and would provide a lot of great fights for him.

EDIT: The point about seeing Fedor in the UFC before he's too old is a good one. My problem is that he would've already been in the UFC if his brainless management hadn't stonewalled it.... I don't really want to see him fight in the UFC 2 years down the road when he might be past his prime, I wanted to see it this year. The allure is lost for me now that I know he'll be fighting cans in Strikeforce for 2 more fights.

I am greedy..... I would like to see both in the UFC. GM looked awesome in Dream. Fedor enough said. I'd rather see the fights than go over the what ifs. Lets settle it in the cage. Glad I got to see both fight live.

Nothing Fedor does anymore impresses me because its against the minor leagues IMO. Not to mention that i'm so sick of him being hyped as the Best Heavyweight in the world when he hasn't fought anyone worthy in how long? If he were doing this against the UFC HWs then i would jump on the wagon but until then he's still a piece of s**t for not signing with the UFC.
