catcatch22 seems to be of that mindset. Maybe I'm misinterpreting what he's saying but that's the impression I get.

did you seriously just say that? People said the same thing about Kimbo and he got KOd? Um Kimbo was a backyard brawler who fought out of shape guys and had only a couple MMA fights under his belt. Rampage is a Pride/UFC champion with a strong chin. Comparing the 2 is ridiculous.

      Rashad won't KO Rampage.

You have no idea what will happen - that's why they fight. It just seems so silly to make such a factual statement when you've really got little clue as to what will happen. Rashad could easily catch Jackson with his guard down and put him to sleep; he could also very easily not. It's a fight and just about anything can happen.

A reversal is when you exchange a dominant position into the other guy getting the dominant position. Getting back to a square position is not a reversal.

Getting back to your feet after you get taken down is not a reversal.

You should not get rewarded for being put in a bad position and simply getting out.

I didn't say it was a reversal. Notice how I also mentioned escapes? Getting out of a bad position is an escape. Escapes score points in wrestling too. I know escapes are only 1 point to a takedown's 2 but that's wrestling. In MMA the point is not to takedown, it is to finish the fight. Unless it's an insane Rampage slam ala his Pride days takedowns will not end the fight by themselves. Therefore escaping without taking any damage should be weighted more than in wrestling IMO.

We'll just have to agree to disagree. I believe takedowns should score points but unless anything is done with the position they shouldn't be insurmountable on the scoring of a round. You do. No biggie. I guess I just prefer how the Japanese judge takedowns more than how the US does.

The ticker on the Fight Network said either Kos or Fitch will be next for Daley. Trying to give GSP a reason to stick around I guess.
