    yea i'm not sure either

If Rashad tries to stand and bang, i think he's in trouble. How often has Rampage been rocked by a punch? The guy has a great chin. And he does a nice job with blocking the shots and countering with those hooks. Rashad's only chance is controlling Rampage on the ground. If they stand then its only a matter of time before its lights out for Rashad.

      Quotes from today's conference call:

"He does his little sambo thing," Evans said. "He says, 'Oh black-on-black crime,' and 'Oh, you can't use big words. I'm stupid.' Come on, I've talked to the dude. He's pretty smart. He knows what's going on. He says it's comedy? Why perpetuate the stereotype you're stupid? You're not stupid. Why perpetuate the stereotype that you can't think, you can't understand big words? You can't read. All that stupid stuff."

(Editor's Note: The following contains direct quotes and FanHouse/MMAFighting.com do not condone any homophobic language.)

"I never said all that," Jackson interjected. "That's another angle for you to try and talk smack. Go ahead. I do what I do, you do what you do. Why act all cocky and fake and play with your nipples and look all gay? Why do you do that?" (Editor's Note: several members of Team Greg Jackson including Evans often do the "nipple tweak" for good luck before fights.)

His voice rising, Jackson continued. "Why do you go that way? Why do you portray the stereotype of a black gay man, if you want go that way? Play with your nipples and act all gay, wear those little, tight shorts."

"That's what I wear," Evans said.

"I know, because you're gay," Jackson said."

I dont think these guys like each other.

Let's hear what Rampage has to say if he ever has to fight Nick Ring ( insert "oh no you didn't finger waving").

Re: UFC 114 - Rashad vs. Rampage

I hate to do this, but that conference call sounds like nothing but another big act.

Rampage going with the gay thing, that's a dead give away. Seriously? So corny.

In Rampage's interview I posted, he didn't mention Shad much at all. You would think if Shad was on his mind a lot, Page would have said something about it.

I also would have thought they would have gotten into some sort of mini scuffle by now, but nope, just a bunch of chatter.

It seems like Shad isn't even on Page's radar in terms of Shad being this big huge deal.

This was a conference call not a press conference. Kind of hard to get into a scuffle over the phone. LOL.

Was he even asked about Rashad in the interview? The main questions were about Shogun, TUF and his issues with the UFC.

i can't wait for this fight

Rashad is so freaking corny with his lame jokes. The whole sending him a snuggie thing, like seriously dude how old are you? He thought he was so funny the 1st time he said it so he actually went out and got him a snuggie, give me a break. Even his own son knows he's going to lose.

Rampage looked scary as hell in that last footage of him training in Vegas. I would not mess with that dude, he looks like he is ready to rip his head off.

I hope Rampage just destroys him, must end in a knock out

Re: UFC 114 - Rashad vs. Rampage

Agreed. Rampage looked downright frightening at Striking Unlimited. The big question is, "Can Rampage hit Rashad cleanly?" Rampage said that Rashad hasn't fought anyone that can hit as hard as he can. Same could be said that Rampage hasn't fought a LHW that is as quick and explosive as Rashad. Hopefully, it will live up to the hype. I will be happy if it goes past the 1st round. I would have to give the slight edge to Rashad though.

Shogun is fast, Wanderlei throws punches fast. Rampage has fought much better opponents than Rashad. The guys he fought in Pride and then the guys he fought in the UFC so far, i dont even know if Rashad cracks the top 5 for caliber of opponents Rampage has fought.

Rashad comes across as cocky and he thinks he's a superior athlete which will help him win. Rampage comes across as irritated that he's got to fight this guy and like he said, he's fighter.

I just dont see how someone could like Rashad. The guy comes across as a major tool. The whole thing how putting on a suit gets him ready for a fight, really? You dont get points for dressing in a nice suit.

                      Rashad fought
Tito (he really lost but Tito was deducted a point for grabbing the cage and the fight was a draw)
                      Bisping
                      Chuck
                      Forrest
                      Machida
                      Silva

                      Rampage has fought
                      Sakuraba
                      Chuck 2x
                      Wanderlei 3x
                      Arona
                      Hendo
                      Forrest
                      Jardine

Rampage has fought every type of fighter there is so i dont think Rashad provides anything that Rampage hasn't seen. But Rashad hasnt fought a guy that hits like Rampage hits.

All the hate on Rashad, haha, I dunno I like the guy. I have nothing against Rampage at all, but for whatever reason I think Rashad has the edge and I'd rather see him win. I'd be much more intrigued to watch Rashad/Rua. We'll see, I've been very wrong with my predictions in the past so don't put too much stock into my comments, haha.

Rampage's striking looks real crisp. I don't see Rashad being able to deal with 'Page's accuracy.

The one thing I don't like about the Primetime show is that Rashad's segments feel more like an infomercial for Grudge Gym than anything else.

You could argue that Rua in Pride was as fast as Rashad. That doesnt bode well for Rampage.

Huh? I didn't say they should have fought over the phone? LOL.

I said they have never gotten into a scuffle this entire time leading up to their bout. Did they ever get into it in TUF? I don't remember, so if they did my mistake.

Rampage had free reign in that interview. He flowed into a myriad of topics, if he really "hated" Shad that much I'd assume he'd take that time to say something concerning him, but he didn't.

Dana has firm rules against coaches fighting on TUF. That was never going to happen. Hughes and Serra legitimately hated each other but never got into a fight on TUF either. Plus there were plenty of mini scuffles during TUF with people in between them.

LOL. What do you want him to say? He did mention Shad several times. Called him cocky. Said he was only on TUF ebcause Machida doesnt speak english. Called him a "step backwards" and a "warm up fight"

There is a transcript of the interview below. The questions werent about his current fight with Shad. It was about him fighting Rua, getting a car for TUF, his relationship with the UFC and the fact that he feels disrespected.

I know you dont believe the "beef" is real but you are reaching for reasons to justify your position.
