No I get the fact its a demo. Im just not feeling the ground game and was hoping someone could explain it in a way that would change my mind. Like I said I havent had the chance to play someone with a skilled ground game so its hard for me to tell the positives vs negatives.

UFC 2010 Undisputed Demo Issues
- 3 transitions will pass 99% of the time. From any position or any fighter. This needs more balance tuning. Gaining mount should put the guy on bottom in extreme danger of not being able to get out.
- Clinch work on expert is to heavy favored to the CPU.
- Clinch work does not auto transition block. Auto transition blocking should be here also so clinch strikes are possible
- Stamina needs some serious tuning. Heavy big shots should exhaust tons of temp stamina and a good bit of permanent stamina. 3rd round should have fighters in the lower part of their stamina. 4th and 5th rounds should be near exhausting off of a single blow.
- KO's need to be toned down very so slightly. It is good to have the danger of any shot KOing but should be slightly less.
- TKO's from the stand up should happen more. So instead of those big KO's, it should be more knock downs to having someone rain down punches for the TKO
- More emphasis put on the quick strikes. Simple fix is to have a much greater stamina impact for throwing big shots. This would make people use the quicker strikes more and only open up with big shots when the time is right.
- Machida's take down. I understand it is a judo trip. But at the moment it is way to effective.
I havent had any troubles getting tko's standing though. I feel like I have had as many flash ko's as I have had grey screened tko's.Comment

I was able to deliver killer ground and pound and do extreme amounts of damage. You can prevent the 3 transitions pass issue with a simple reverse. You can also make sure to work for the pass yourself, while still delivering damage.
I am not extremely worried about this area much. Because it really does come off as a tuning issue. Something I see for sure being fixed and worked on prior to launch. THQ is really good at making a quality product and if they failed in a area. MMA fans are so hardcore crowd they will make a HUGE stink if something is not right. So I see some of these minor issues being fixed for sure.Comment

Re: UFC 2010 Undisputed Demo Available, Post Impressions Here
Well I am starting to get the hang of it, obviously a lot to learn still.
My biggest frustrations other then subs, is when I work hard to get to full mount, I have like 5% success rate posturing up without the cpu kicking me off or whatever. Especially against machida and shogun. This is on expert btw.
As few others have mentioned, the clinch game is too hard for me on expert, like I can't really pull off the clinch and knee someone like I could with shogun on experienced or advanced. So I try to stay away from clinch except when they try to take me down. Although I need to try to go for the slams more often in the clinch so I will be working on that.
I didn't really like the how the sway works on it's own, but I love the counter striking. I also like catching leg kicks and then leg sweep them to take them down.
I JUST learned how to posture up yesterday night, since I've been playing all night. So I am happy for that, since It was getting bs, since I kept getting stand up as I didn't know how to posture up and gnp.
Btw, it was nice to find this forum since I've been looking to find a place to talk about the demo since the community forum is down.Comment

A minor transition is easierComment

Re: UFC 2010 Undisputed Demo Available, Post Impressions Here
I will try that, I have much easier time with machida since for obvious reasons I can take the cpu down 99 % so I do posture up, but I will try waiting for them to transition then reversing.Comment

Yea I think we will all be alright. Plus it will be mainly a online game for me so both parties have to deal with the same issues so I am down for how ever I must put people in the ground lolComment

You can work your minor transition over and over to break free. Then rain down heavy shots posturing up. I normally land 1-2 heavy shots then will look to pass. This way they have much further to work for to get me off. Plus it seems to reset the 3 attempts = pass. So I am always landing shots, then passing. rinse repeat.Comment

I was sad to see while looking at some gameplay footage on the undisputed website (I think it was actually a link to a gamespot video.. it had frank mir commenting in it) and saw that Krzysztof Soszynski has the exact same auto trip.. so it looks like its not unique to machida, or so it would appear.Comment

This game has tons a potential depending on if the retail version is better or patches...
My only real problem is that the cpu may be too easy like last year...
But thats to be determine as I have not master the ground game yet + the new adaptive AI + stats in career mode...
Im having more fun with the stand up than I did last year(hated last year's)
IMO, you can string combos and work off the jab....
I hope fatigue rate is tuned along with the flash KO's
I just want more grey moments....For example in my last fight facing Rashad(Im Rua) he drilled me with a hook, I fell on my back, he mounted me and started to land a couple elbows...Grey moment...1 second later the ref stops the fight...
THAT IS WHAT I WANT MORE OF!!!!!! That is the UFC I see on TV, not the frequent flash KO's like Im watching Ultimate Knock Outs Vol 1....
Another example is when Rashad landed a uppercut in another match we had, I greyed and was able to back off untill he was able to take me down after I was leaning on the cage...he finished me off...
Now if the grey moments happen as frequent as the flash KO's and the Flash KO's happen less like the grey moments....I would be in HEAVEN!!!!!Comment

More gray screen knockdowns would be great. I'm very happy with the increased KO'd, but I think that more of them should instead be knock downs or just "rocked" screens, instead of instant KO's. That would make it even better.Comment
