I am a big Brock fan...but his HORRIBLE standup caught up to him. All props to Cain...he completely destroyed. I will never be a Cain fan, but he is at the top of the hw game.

Dana's face was priceless as he knew he just lost millions and millions of dollars.

Terrible card...when Madsen is one of the best fights....

So Brock gets destroyed two fights in a row.

Looks absolutely inept standing up. Pathetic.

Glad to see him go down after many initially thought it was impossible. Have no clue as to how people didn't think Cain would have a shot. And yes he has legit power, glad to see him prove that.

Like I've said repeatedly there will be many HW champs in the next 3 years. Dos Santos is comin.

I should stick to picking prelims from now on. That's the second time I got all but 1 prelim right and only 1 main card right.

Some of that was just awkward. Ah well it was entertaining in its crazyness. I don't think even the people that picked Cain had it like that and Lesnar throwing a flying knee? I think the JDS fight will go like the Kongo fight but since JDS hits a whole heck of a lot harder...

I picked Kampmann by sub. Should've been Kampmann by sub. Had his chances.

Paulo/Sanchez was also kinda crazy. Bad judging overall tonight btw. The right people won but some of the scores Guess they were playing too much EA MMA this week.

I really thought Tito would be up for that fight. He was for about 2 minutes.

Schaub my only main card pick that came through. I'm not sure if he was impressive or Gonzaga was just that bad.

            You guys hear that......

UFC just lost millions and millions of dollars with Lesnar losing.

Its the problem with UFC, guys are too good/powerful with varying styles for a long time champion at the HW division.

I don't think he lost much money at all. Velasquez winning the title brings a ton of new viewers to the UFC. Tying Velasquez and Mexico togther in the marketing for this fight was one of the smartest things they have done.

There are only two fighters in UFC history with 30 minutes of fight time who average more than 5 significant strikes landed per minute (SLpM):

                Junior dos Santos - 7.12
                Cain Velasquez - 7.11

UFC just lost a ton of money. This simply can't be disputed...Brock has been the only MMA fighter thus far (of course there will be more in the future) that brought in the casual PPV fan.

The Mexico tie in was VERY heavy handed and even though it will be more positive for the UFC in the future, it did offend some MMA fans. In addition, it will take more than one "Mexican" heavyweight to change an entire culture who is strongly attached to boxing.

But for anyone to try and suggest that Dana is happy or that the UFC did not lose millions of dollars tonight is simply ignorant and doesn't understand the business aspect of sports. UFC's current Golden Goose got DESTROYED. And because of the way Cain has been portrayed, the base that Brock brought in and would have continued to bring in will not completely shift to Cain or anyone else's camp (when JDS beats Cain for example).

Whether you are a fan of Brock or not, this was a bad night for the UFC and MMA. Brock brought the non MMA fan to the UFC dinner table.

I wonder how many people had the pleasure of seeing a Jake Shields fight for the first time tonight. Dude has always been boring as hell, and I would laugh if the UFC made that fight ever.

The dollars that the UFC "lost" by having Brock losing are regained in Cain's destruction.

You can now market Cain as the guy who beat the "baddest man" on the planet, and with ease.

Lesnar will still bring in the PPVs regardless. Cain now though, is easily marketable.

What will happen when JDS is the champ? Dude speaks no English and doesn't have much personality.

                          Anyway interesting notes:

-- Dana White said that when watching the monitors during the main event, he thought he saw Brock Lesnar verbally submit to the Cain Velasquez, but Velasquez said he didn't hear that.

-- Brock Lesnar was not present at the press conference.

                            Bryan Alvarez tweeted that:

"Brock and Undertaker had a staredown and exchanged words after the fight. Not making this up, Ariel Helwani was doing the interview"

Most disappointing part of this event for me was Jake Shields gassing. I'm thinking that maybe the cut to 170 was hard for him. Who knows, but his performance was pathetic.
