      Sorry I assumed referencing Lesnar's scheduled appearance dates was spoilerish since not everyone looks that stuff up or wants to look stuff like that up. Ruins the surprise.

        WWE recently sent out a survey indicating that Live events will no longer be Smackdown or Raw branded. Maybe soon after that they'll think about merging the titles. And maybe that's what they're waiting for on the rumored new belt.

          I don't expect any changes until after Wrestlemania.

              The brand thing was fine when it was strictly in place and you didn't have 'Smackdown' stars on Raw every week. Raw Supershow was pretty much the end of the brand split, even if it wasn't spelled out explicitly.

                - WWE sent out a survey on Wednesday asking fans about renaming their live events as it sounds like separate RAW and SmackDown live events may be no more. WWE is looking at featuring both RAW and SmackDown Superstars at live events. In re-naming the live events, WWE provided the following options:

                * WWE Superstars Live!
                * WWE Universe Live!
                * WWE World Tour
                * WWE: The Tour
                * WWE Live
                * WWE Live In Action!
                * WWE Live Tour
                * WWE Presents

                - Several wrestling talents who have been rumored as surprise entrants in Sunday's Royal Rumble 30-man battle royal match will be partaking in a local event in the area. Both

                .

                - There was a lot of backstage talk about Monday's RAW this week. It was acknowledged that the promos by CM Punk, Paul Heyman and The Rock were all very good to build up the Royal Rumble but besides that, the feeling was that the show sucked. As noted, lots of people were talking about how bad John Cena's promo was.

                - The current storyline where The Miz is being pushed as the "next Ric Flair" was originally earmarked for Dolph Ziggler. With Ziggler, the idea was going to be more of Flair being his manager but Ziggler was going to be given the Figure Four and doing the same gimmick Miz is doing as a babyface.

                Regarding turning Ziggler babyface, it looks like those plans have been put on hold for the time being.

                - As noted before, WWE has offered Brock Lesnar another 1 year contract - believed to be similar to the current deal that expires at WrestleMania 29 in the sense that it's for few dates and several million dollars.

                Lesnar has not signed the contract yet but word going around is that there's a good chance he will sign.

                The big opponents being discussed for Lesnar in 2013 are CM Punk and Randy Orton. Lesnar vs. Orton had been discussed for 2012 but plans changed.

                - Shelton Benjamin wrote the following on Twitter when asked about a return to WWE:

                "I should hope so. I still got plenty of gas in the tank"

                - Next week's episode of WWE Main Event will see Intercontinental Champion Wade Barrett kick off a three-week "Intercontinental Cup." The cup will feature Six Superstars competing for a chance to be #1 contender.

                - Wade Barrett tweeted the following late Wednesday night, revealing a possible surprise Royal Rumble entrant:

                "Just bumped into

                    It's been rumored that they're in the Rumble but the event they're in has nothing to do with the WWE. It's just around the area so they were speculating.

                          I'm glad they didn't go that way. Ziggler doesn't need it. I think the direction they're going with him is better now.

                            Agree 100%, but I'd still rather see him in that role as opposed to The Miz.
