it will, because IWC and all the people who boo him, simpley because they want to see him heel. And the only fans he'll lose are the kids under 10 who think he's a brand new person by being the bad guy, while kids who know something about the E will still like him since they know it's still JC, and like I said women will still think he's good looking, so yes I'm pretty sure there will be more members of IWC that will become JC fans, than the kids under 10 that he'll lose.

Re: The OS WWE 'Dirt' Thread
I think the biggest difference between that time and today is that the payoffs seemed much better and more satisfying back then than they do now. Today, they have great setups like Nexus/Cena and then when the time comes for the payoff, WWE chickens out and does nothing and it pretty much dies.
JoMo has the best possible storyline with Miz. What's he get? A one off title shot on Raw. Then it's Orton,Cena and Lawler?! Not even that really since all the focus went to Cena and Rock. Miz did perform greatly during that time however.
Did they capitalize on the great Bryan/Miz match? No. Now what's Bryan doing?
While Drew barely lasted at EC when he came out and went nuts that got over big time. Did they do anything with it? No. Some non-sense with KellyKelly, getting jobbed out and not even getting a match at WM.
Dolph and Edge at the Rumble. Fantastic match. Dolph just keeps getting owned and then sent to Raw. For what?Comment

Re: The OS WWE 'Dirt' Thread
And honestly - the world does revolve around the WWE when it comes to wrestling. That's just the facts. Other companies like ROH, TNA, and indy feds can have their fans. But it's going to be hard for any company to approach the brand recognition WWE has. WWE IS wrestling. Vince taking 'wrestling' out of the name doesn't change the fact that when people think wrestling, they think WWE. That's why it's hard to take the 'sky is falling' argument seriously.
Like I said, I don't like the move, but it doesn't fundamentally change that WWE is wrestling. And I doubt that Vince would ever stop putting on 'wrestling' or 'entertainments' or whatever they're called. It is what it is.Comment

Re: The OS WWE 'Dirt' Thread
Yup,they don't take advantage of things anymore. They really blew it with Nexus as of the current moment. There's a ton of great things they could've done and didn't do any of them. Now there's a chance for a few more after 2-3 months of them being essentially worthless. Will they do any of them? Probably not.

I agree w/ some of your other points though, the booking has been skiddish lately.Comment

No offense to anyone here, b/c I actually think you guys think rationally and really care about the product, which I respect. But the IWC fan is almost never satisfied. And it's impossible to satisfy EVERY fan.Comment

And like I said earlier - how long until the IWC goes from loving Cena to hating him again and thinking he's boring? Over/under 1 month maybe?

You don't HAVE to read spoilers. That is just a flawed argument. If you choose to read spoilers, that's your loss. But to say SD isn't a 'real' show just because it's not live is a statement that has no rationale IMO.

Re: The OS WWE 'Dirt' Thread
Attitude Raw from 1998
- The Legion of Doom (w/ Sunny) defeated Jose Estrada & Jesus Castillo following the Doomsday Device in under a minute
- Kurrgan (w/ the Jackyl) defeated Chainz via submission with the Paralyzer; after the bout, Kurrgan kept the claw hold applied as he dragged his opponent backstage
- Jeff Jarrett (w/ Tennessee Lee) defeated Aguila via submission with the figure-4; after the bout, Jarrett survived an attack from Steve Blackman after distraction from Tennessee Lee
- Ken Shamrock & Steve Blackman defeated Farooq & WWF IC Champion the Rock (w/ the Nation) when Shamrock pinned Farooq with a belly to belly suplex after the Rock refused to be tagged in the ring
- Marc Mero (w/ Sable) pinned WWF Light Heavyweight Champion Taka Michinoku in a non-title match with a low blow and the TKO; before the match, Sable accepted Luna's challenge for an evening gown match at Unforgiven; after the match, three unknown Japanese men attacked Michinoku (later revealed to be Sho Funaki, Mens Teioh, and Dick Togo)
- Bob Holly & Bart Gunn defeated NWA Tag Team Champions the Headbangers to win the titles when Bob Holly scored the pin with a frog splash
- The Road Dogg & Billy Gunn defeated Cactus Jack & Terry Funk in a steel cage match when Gunn pinned Cactus following a spike piledriver, as Funk was tied to the cage, after X-Pac came ringside and repeatedly hit Cactus over the head with a chair; due to pre-match stipulations, Road Dogg & Gunn won the vacant WWF Tag Team Titles; after the bout, the new champions officially joined DX alongside Triple H, Chyna, and X-Pac
Raw from 4/11/2011
- Divas Championship: Brie Bella (with Nikki Bella) def. Eve (c) by pin following the Bella Buster to win the Divas Title.
- Sin Cara (in his in-ring debut) def. Primo by pin following the Carasault.
- 8-Man Tag: The Corre def. APPLE (Santino Marella, Daniel Bryan, Evan Bourne, & Mark Henry) by Heath Slater pinning Santino Marella following Sweetness.
- Rematch or Retirement: Jerry “The King” Lawler (with Jim Ross) def. Jack Swagger (with Michael Cole) by roll-up to earn a rematch against Michael Cole at WWE Extreme Rules.
- #1 Contender’s 5-Man Gauntlet Match: John Cena and R-Truth fight to a double disqualification after The Miz and Alex Riley interfere. As a result, both John Cena and R-Truth are named the #1 Contenders for the WWE Title at Extreme Rules.

Re: The OS WWE 'Dirt' Thread
What does that even mean? SmackDown has been taped forever and dominated the 2000's as being the best wrestling show on television. Are you seriously trying to say that Edge and Eddie's No DQ match from SmackDown wasn't some of their best work because it was taped?Comment

Re: The OS WWE 'Dirt' Thread
This is just a nonsensical argument to make. Almost every movie has spoilers out a few weeks before it hits theaters, sometimes even earlier than that. Hasn't killed the movie industry. And like Santino said and you continue to ignore, SD has always been recorded.Comment

Give me entertaining storylines over formulaic and predictable matches any time.
Maybe I'm in the minority, but I feel the weekly shows should be for building matches, and PPV's are for the payoff. I have no desire to see the same match three smackdowns in a row. I liked it when it was a rarity to see Austin wrestle on tv. It made it more special when he did, and made you want to get the ppv's more so you could watch him.
