Maybe it'll be like Friends where he doesn't quite make it and runs in after the angle he has to do and just stops, looks sad, and slowly walks to the back.

Man it would be great if they have him up there and after Taker's match, Taker is down on his knee doing his pose and the camera pans to Sting just standing up there watching. Taker doesn't even have to see him, though that could be cool to if Taker goes down to pose and when he looks up, he see's him in the rafters and there's just this moment where they're staring right at each other. Leave it at that for tonight. Just let the image of Sting up there in the rafters sit and digest until RAW tomorrow night.

I would prefer if they didn't focus on him, that you can see him in the corner of a shot, so it makes it cooler, because the focus on Sting would ruin the "surprise."

I wouldn't put it above TNA to have played with the WWE speculation to draw attention to an already re-signed Sting, although I feel like him signing would've leaked by now.

And he says something like that, and it gives him attention, and then maybe there's some increased attention when he shows up on TNA in 3 weeks. It's entirely possible he's playing the speculation completely in some half-assed way of trying to help TNA.

True. After seeing Taker tonight, another year of him declining would lead to a God awful match anyway.

Sting will show up tomorrow still I bet; if that match happens next year (which I doubt) there's at least doubt now that Taker could lose to Sting...

But really I wouldn't want to see that, let Sting face somebody else for a one off.

I want to make clear this is a prediction because there's nothing that has been pointing to him actually signing a deal with WWE.

I want to see him take on HHH, for all of the clowning HHH did towards the wcw during the Monday Night Wars.
