Breaking news on CNN.com right now stating he strangled his wife and smothered the kid before hanging himself.

"A law enforcement official close to the investigation tells The Associated Press that pro wrestler Chris Benoit strangled his wife and smothered his son before hanging himself in his weight room."

This is what stands out for me:

Authorities also said they are investigating whether steroids may have been a factor in the deaths of Benoit, his wife and their 7-year-old son who were found dead in an apparent murder-suicide.

Gee, you think? A great majority of pro wrestlers are juicing and McMahon and the other pimps that run wrestling all know about it and promote it. It's the same reason why so many wrestlers have died in the past 10 years.
And I've known guys that are normal, calm people turn into animals when on the juice. I'm sure this guy was unstable to begin with, but you throw roids into the mix and it went from bad to worse.

This guys a peice of crap and nobody here should waste one tear or thought on this loser. All your thoughts and prayers should be for his wife and son and the ones left behind that will mourn their deaths.

It's a shame that in 2007 people still don't understand mental illness. To do something like this, Benoit defenitly wasn't himself.

Watching Raw and given the comments he made, I believe William Regal got one of those text messages. It seemed clear to me he was holding something back. As for the other, I gotta believe it was Dean Malenko.

It's a shame that in 2007 people still don't understand mental illness. To do something like this, Benoit defenitly wasn't himself.

my guess (just a guess) that it was related to steroids. Serious Psychological problems happen when you use them long term.

Oh yeah, but it could be anything. They still haven't figured out exactly what causes someone to become sick. They could have an idea on a case by case basis, and steroids could be that thing here. Or it could be a mix of things, IDK.

It would certainly explain their comments. Malenko kept saying he felt bad for the fans...never once said about Benoit's family. Regal's was short and felt like he has so much more to say.

Is there a video anywhere of last nights RAW? I missed both Malenko's and Regal's interviews. I'd like to know what you guy's mean when you say "they were holding things back."
