Actually it seems like it did. Obviously he had issues with creative later on that weren't related to cutting promos and led to him leaving, but from the clips I've seen with him, he seemed really good on the mic. I think that's what today's stars are severely lacking, most of them are a ****ing bore on the mic.

No I mean the bitching and moaning worked well for him....right out the door.

I think today's mic issues are probably two fold. The heavy scripting is killing the promos. When everything is written out the guys are just repeating words from a piece of paper, making everyone sound the same. Then on top of that the length and number of promos just drags things out.

SCSA says all the time that one of the biggest problems for the guys is that they have nowhere to go if they piss Vince off. Back in the day guys could jump around...WWF, WCW, ECW. No options means less folks are going to be pushing buttons.

I'm really getting in to early 90s WCW stuff. I watched Clash of the Champions from June 91 last night. It had a really stiff match between The Steiners and Hase/Chono. Rick Steiner got kicked in the head so hard his headgear broke, and Scott had a spectacular botch off the top rope. In the Muta vs Luger match, Muta tried some sort of cartwheel back elbow in to the corner and Luger moved and Muta flew over the top rope, how he didn't break his neck is beyond me. This was also Stunning Steve Austin's first Clash. He had won the TV title earlier in the month, but it was going to show on tape delay after The Clash, so he wasn't wearing the belt yet. Too bad they put together a video package of him before the match that showed him wearing the title

Watching WCW Starrcade Battlebowl from 1992 makes me think it would be cool to see WWE revive this concept for a PPV like Fastlane or a special edition of Raw

Is there one place where they keep the documentaries or are they just kind of scattered around?

Talent ****ing sucked, man. It is amazing to be that raw was still entertaining with the lack of talent on the roster at that time.

                    So many factions/tag-teams

DX and The Rock were the most disrespectful human beings around.

Everything has it's place. Everything isn't centered around the main event or forgotten about.

Man, the talent was really ****ing bad. I'm reminded of why I watched WCW so much in the beginning of the AE. But, the good **** about WWE was ****ing awesome. SCSA, DX, Rock, Foley, Taker/Kane carried that show. There wasn't much else worth watching.

So it's like the bad is as bad or worse than I remember, but the good was 10x better than I remembered.

You mean the Artist formerly known as Goldust? Bc the original Goldust stuff with Razor and Taker was brilliant.

So it seems WWE has finally settled into a schedule of two Raws every Friday and it looks like that's how they're going to go through '97 leading up to the Attitude Era Raws. Only problem so far they skipped the first two episodes of December '96 yesterday for some reason. It goes November 25th episode and then December 16 for some ungodly reason. I guess next week to close out April they'll upload the last two episodes of '96 and then start '97 the following week? Perhaps they'll start Nitro on that schedule as well since that seems to line up with that rumor that there'd be '97 Nitro popping up on the Network in May?
