I've tried to watch things in order as much as possible...I think I made it through 3-5 episodes of 1993 RAW before I gave up and realized that there's no way I can sit through superstar vs jobber matches. I have finally been able to make it through most RAW and Nitro right when Scott Hall first appears. That's a great era and I'm really enjoying the hell out of re-living it as an adult. But there's still plenty I'm not interested in and thanks to the milestones, I can skip through matches I don't care about.

With that said, I can't help but feel irritated that the Network has only uploaded Nitro through 1996 and RAW right now through October 1996. Then they come out today and upload 1998, which is awesome but it completely skips 1997. As a kid I really enjoyed both programs in 1997 and it had some very important events. I'm only in June 1996 right now but it irks me that they skipped 1997 completely in favor of 1998. I get why, it's solely marketing purposes and WCW owned WWE's *** in 1997...hopefully 1997 RAW and Nitro won't be afterthoughts for a long time.

They uploaded the last 3 episodes from Dec 1997 through January 4th 1999. I just turned on the first episode to get a sense of what's happening and it's 8 days after IYH: DX. It's just too random of a spot for me to start watching from there. Does anyone else feel this way?
Go back and look at my post history; I'm right there with you on the content uploads by WWE. It makes viewing very difficult at times. I've been going through SNME now, only because I know I can watch that show's entire run. Most shows get a big content dump and then nothing.

1997 was when RAW started to turn the corner, imo. You've got the continued rise of SCSA, HBK "losing his smile" and then returning and eventually going heel and forming DX. Hunter Hearst Helmsley taking a step forward in his career. Kane being introduced as a character to take on the Undertaker. Bret Hart with arguably the best run of his career leading the heel Hart Foundation. Of course, you have the Montreal fallout as well as the N.O.D., Rocky Maivia turning heel and becoming The Rock, Cactus Jack and Dude Love making their debuts. Ken Shamrock, too.

Really a strong year for WWE so not sure why they skipped it.

Like I said, I'm sure it has to do with marketing purposes. They've been doing these big content dumps during free months to get the free subscribers enticed to stay subscribed beyond the free month. I'm not complaining about because it makes up for what is usually a throwaway PPV that month (Extreme Rules is going to be terrible, just like Fast Lane was). 1998 had the rise of Austin, Rock, and Foley so it makes sense that it's there and being promoted. I just hope that:

      1. It doesn't get removed like 12 days of Attitude and Black History Month were.

      2. 1996 and 1997 aren't neglected and they keep uploading at a semi-consistent pace.

Yeah, I've been talking about their stupid uploading practices for a while now. It's just crazy how they pick and choose what they're uploading. I guess we see that they consider the start of the Attitude Era that December 15th Raw since that's the day that Vince McMahon made that lame *** Attitude speech.

Like I said earlier in the thread NJPW World has almost all of their archive footage up, there is no excuse for WWE to at least have half of theirs up especially when they launched their service a year earlier.

I subscribed to NJPW World in February and from what I remember, they only had full events dating back to like 2010 or something and then, especially the 90s, it was select matches from events, not the full events themselves. Maybe it's changed since then?

Yeah that is the main problem I have with it, its only matches for the 70s-90s. I get their decision though, most of those events are 3-4 hours long I doubt someone would sit down and watch those cards in its entirety.

Vince should watch that speech back. My intelligence is insulted every week watching RAW.

Many of the smarks would love Roman Reigns if he ever would have had a cup of coffee in Japan.

No one probably cares but as I'm sure most of you know, there are no milestones of any Benoit matches. I'm watching WCW Great American Bash 96 and the McMichael/Kevin Greene vs. Flair/Anderson match doesn't have a milestone because Benoit shows up near the end of the match. He's not an actual match participant though...doesn't this seem a bit far fetched?

They aren't going to acknowledge him period. Let's just be glad they still included his stuff on the Network to begin with.

Agreed. But, rationally speaking, it is pretty ridiculous to take it to this extreme. Though I'd prefer they fix all the Raws that are missing milestones altogether.

I canceled the network after three weeks today. Just underwhelming.

The guy murdered his family. It would be perfectly justifiable if they wiped him from the network. Be lucky his matches are still available.
