If they put him in the DOA, I don't think the whole Kane storyline would even happen. His Ministry character was huge. I don't think him in DOA would be something that'd get fans excited at all. DOA even "won" 'worst feud of the year' in 1997 and fell apart in 98. Don't see how any of that would've been good for Undertaker.

Man, the way you guys consistently badmouth The Oddities the more I think my happy memories of them are completely faultyI've got a LOOONG time to go before I even get close to that so yeah.
Anywho, I just saw Shatner doing his thing on back to back RAWs last night before Royal Rumble '95. I liked that The Summit in Houston had the same kind of setup as MSG with the entrance to the ring on the hard camera.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

I mean, Crush left after the Screwjob, so of course DOA was completely trash after that point. Pointing out worst feud of ‘97, okay, it was against Los Boricuas. Can you even name 3 of the 4 guys in that stable? Can you name 2? Savio Vega and a dude who desperately needed to shave his chest and back. DOA wasn’t a great stable by any means, but basing how Undertaker would have faired running the group based on stuff like that doesn’t really work.

Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread
I think this is more than enough of the DOA talk lol. Nobody should be discussing them for this amount of time.
A funny sign I saw during a Raw:
"D-Lo is D-umb" LOL
And seeing Kane dressed as Undertaker looks so weird. Undertaker as Kane at least looked somewhat more natural(mainly his height and hair which made him blend in as Kane before he unmasked), but Kane as Undertaker looks like you're playing a video game and just randomly switching gear up on guys

Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread
Speaking of D’Lo, there’s another case of WWE’s glass ceiling and how bad Vince can be at times about people proving him wrong.
Remember D’Lo’s mini push they started giving him in late 2002 - early 2003? I’m in February of ‘03, for weeks at this point D’Lo has gotten himself over playing the angry black dude gimmick after having a few screwy finishes with the refs “not seeing his foot on the rope during a three count,” or not counting someone he has pinned because they aren’t the legal man in a tag match in which him arguing about the call costs him the match, etc. He played the racism angle, was getting reactions from the fans and doing well both inside and out of the ring. Had a decent little feud going between Test and Stacy Keibler where he blamed Stacy not wanting to be his manager on his skin color.
Anyway fast forward a few weeks and D’Lo debuts former referee Teddy Long as his new manager and finally puts everything together for this new persona of his with the ‘Down with the Brown’ slogan. Teddy and D’Lo showed up together on like 3 episodes of RAW, had a match on Sunday Night Heat apparently where he lost and suddenly Teddy comes out on RAW the next night by himself, announcing he was kicking D’Lo to the curb because he couldn’t get the job down and it was no longer about being Down with the Brown, but it was now time to ‘Back the Mack.’ Enter Rodney Mack who nobody gave a **** about and a gimmick that was getting over with the crowd in D’Lo was just tossed in the trash because WWE had just released D’Lo for no reason whatsoever. If I’m remembering back then correctly (because I was saying “WTF” back then as well and that was one of the contributing factors to me stopping regularly watching WWE eventually) D’Lo was hit with the “creative has nothing for you” reasoning for his release. Not sure if this one was a Triple H influenced decision or not, but man WWE did and still does know how to drop the ball on people.

I always liked D-Lo too. I think they never really treated him the same after the Droz incident. All the momentum he was building up in his career went up in flames after that.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread
After doing some reading, apparently the Droz thing wasn’t the issue. D’Lo says it took him about 6 months to get back to being near himself in the ring after the Droz situation though he admits that he was never the same after it. What seems to be the word going around that hurt D’Lo was he was one of Vince Russo’s guys. Russo was responsible for really getting behind D’Lo and once Russo left for WCW, D’Los push went poof and contributing to that was apparently rumors getting to higher ups that D’Lo was going to go to WCW as well so of course that meant management decided to bury him.
