Meltzer reporting that Omega was originally due back sometime in March, but Kenny had to shut down his rehab after testing positive for Covid.

Everything is up in the air now.

Let's see if Tony can properly book a top big man (he has been doing a good job with Wardlow, lately) and African-American talent like (insert name).

He's yet to build up any Black male talent (Scorpio Sky's meaningless 'brass ring' win not withstanding) and has booked (for the most part) big men poorly or as cannon fodder to smaller men.

Loved him in NXT…then he got wasted on the main roster.

          Let’s see what happens.

I don't know if anyone follows Danhousen's YouTube channel but he has an ongoing "feud" with The Gunn Club. So he got them a new theme song made lol... it's quite a combo of Billy Gunn's "The One" and using some lyrics from his Attitude Era theme.

Plus, as much as I loved his work in NXT and wanted him to succeed it was clear as day his heart/all wasn't in the 'Bearcat' gimmick.

His release, as well as a few more felt like poor decision making, but he clearly wasn't 100% when he returned. You add that with his "advanced" age (nearly 40) and they decided to move on. It sucks and I hope he (and Mia Yim) does well wherever he lands.

I hope that until he really has the cardio and is in good enough shape that he stays away from the "flippy dippy" **** and sticks to a power style of offense. And wherever he goes that he fully commits to whatever management gives him and doesn't (allegedly) act like a 'diva.'

If you caught his AEW debut then you'll notice that his cardio/stamina issue persists.

I hate to speculate on someone's long - term health, but there definitely lies the chance that COVID caused permanent lung damage.

I really, really hope I'm wrong on that.

                  Re: AEW Off-Topic

16-year-old indy star Nick Wayne has signed a pre-contract with AEW which will become a full-contract once he turns 18.

He wrestled Christopher Daniels in the main event last night at Defy's Year V event in a losing effort, and then Darby Allin came out after the match and handed him an AEW contract.

Meltzer reported a few hours earlier that Cody going back to WWE was a real possibility.

                      Then this comes out.

I'd be more surprised if he actually leaves AEW.

I wouldn't call it a slap in the face, but not sure what you would call someone who helps start a wrestling company that opposes WWE, just to rejoin WWE, or even just go anywhere else, after your first contract expires.

This has to be part of a story. AEW does leak things to Meltzer, so perhaps they're doing this as part of their storyline.

I dont even know what Cody would do in WWE. Don't really see him even being in the US title picture, and we dont need Eden Stiles ring announcing.

How is it a "slap in the face?"

It's just business just like all the other hirings, firings, releases and everything else within the pro wrestling landscape.

****, Tony Khan owes Cody (and the rest of the Elite) a huge debt cause they used their "cache" within the industry to legitimize his fledgeling company.

If they all decided back in 2018/'19 to go to WWE/NXT then AEW never happens, point blank

I wonder what Cody's next move is? Will he go back to WWE after 3 years of "throwing jabs" at them, return to either NJPW or ROH (his time in ROH ended on "poor terms" too, allegedly), join the NWA or take time off to be with his wife and family?

And if this all isn't a work (and Lord knows I hope it isn't cause otherwise it's a bad look, IMO) then it'll prove that money trumps all even working with family and friends.

The things Cody will do for a title shot...

Total work, no way he's going back to WWE, and my guess is he's the surprise in the Revolution ladder match and wins.

I feel like it's a work and an attempt to bring intrigue, another "surprise" and "more eyeballs" to the next few shows plus the next PPV.

Not sure if it's brilliant or just a desperate attempt to increase ratings, though, if it ends up being a work. [emoji848]

But if it's a work why didn't they keep the strap on Cody and create the illusion that he could show up on RAW/Smackdown with the TNT title?
