    Re: AEW Discussion Thread

For those that live in the UK...you will have to wait to watch Dynamite.

They are airing on delay, specifically 4 days later Sunday at 8:20 in the morning. Or if you don't feel like waking up early on a Sunday, you can watch a 1 hour highlight show at 11:45pm on Monday nights.

That sucks. In today's day and age, dont get how shows, specifically live events, can be delayed anymore.

I hope Canada gets an actual deal, but a week to go, I doubt it. Especially seeing how even NXT is on a delay here.

It's odd didn't they brag of having the better TV deal there?

Yep they did. And the response from knowledgeable people is all negative. I have yet to see more than 1 more legitimate positive take on it. The 2 I have seen are, "At least they have TV deal" and that they are on ITV which isn't under a costly subscription like WWE with Sky and BT Sport.

So to update this if you live internationally to the US and Canada you can spend $5 a month on FITE TV to buy a AEWPlus subscription to watch it live. Oh that's a real bad deal now... https://twitter.com/FiteTV/status/11...991615489?s=20

For a company that's been around as long as AEW has, with all the years of TV content they have produced, this is unacceptable.

It's amazing how they don't even have a TV deal in Canada when their first world champion is from Canada, and one of their biggest stars Kenny Omega is also Canadian.

I mean when you champion for months/weeks that you have a better TV deal than the chief competitor, you should probably have a deal with some redeeming qualities nevermind one that's you know actually better.

I don’t know how FITE TV works, but if it’s just a flat $5 per month and you don’t have to pay for anything else I think that’s a pretty good deal and I wish WWE had something similar. I don’t watch enough tv to warrant paying for cable but I’d pay $5 per month for something I wanted to see

Same. I'm not sure how I'm gonna watch AEW. I definitely am not signing up for a major TV/streaming service just to watch that show.

Canada might end up being one of only countries to not have any legal way of watching lol.

Cody said people in Canada have to be patient, but 7 days until the show, how much more patient does he expect fans to be? Announce a Canadian deal Tuesday night?

You can always sign up for a 5 day preview on ps vue or YouTube tv to at least see the first week while you figure out long term how you’re going to watch

That's probably what I'll do. I've already done the Sling and Hulu live trials recently, so those are out lol.

Youtube TV is my personal favorite.

Apparently one of the issues with getting AEW live on ITV in the UK is they have strict laws regarding how much commercial break time they allow in the UK, compared to TNT in the USA. TNT is going to have 16 minutes of commercials per hour, while ITV allows a maximum of 12. Yay, America.
