Anyone going to the show in New Orleans? My brother-in-law and I are driving down Wednesday. He claims he has media/backstage passes for us since I bought the tickets. We shall see. Regardless, I’m looking forward to it.

I had the whole situation typed up, but decided not to post it…dude really rubbed me the wrong way….but I should have known there was a 141 2/3 ‘rd chance of that happening

I hate Kevin Nash pulled out, but I think there was a showing for Scott taking place.

Scott’s funeral was Friday.

I’ve only had two poor experiences when it comes to signings and/or conventions. Dave Mustaine of Megadeth is an ungrateful prick, and I got to see Peter Mayhew (Chewbacca) go completely off on his PA because his coffee wasn’t to his liking.

Interesting note for AEW.

Pat Buck, who most recently produced the Rousey/Charlotte and Reigns/Lesnar matches at WM was backstage in a production role for AEW tonight.

He left WWE during the offseason.

Jack Evans announced on Twitter that his contract will not be renewed by AEW when it runs out at the end of the month.

He has been used three times since October 2021, so this shouldn’t be a shocker.

Evans admitted on Twitter that after a 4-month Covid layoff and time off because of a facial injury, he had a performance drop off that he’s never recovered from.

Praised AEW for letting wrestlers stay on the full length of their contract and said he didn’t blame AEW for not re-signing him because “I wasn’t giving any added value to the company truthfully”

Dirt sheets were reporting that FTR’s contracts were up this summer and that WWE was interested.

However, AEW confirmed that FTR’s contracts expire next summer and they also have an option for an additional year.

It’s funny, unfunny how reckless dirt sheets are with their assumptions and guessing games. Even funnier, unfunnier when other dirt sheets sites take that info and run with it, creating a whirlwind of misinformation that the wrestlers themselves probably lean back and cackle laugh at, in awe of of the lunacy at times.

It isn’t new, it’s been going on for decades but it does feel a little more spun and propelled these days with the popularity of wrestling increasing. Case-in-point, the divorce and remarrying of Cody Rhodes with AEW/WWE. There have been so many he said/she said moments that each side has come forward eventually and disputed. Problem is, sometimes in disputing false rumors, you provide ammunition for the talking heads yo twist your new words even more. It’s an endless, winless game. [emoji854]

Someone on Reddit said Tony Khan had them do different chants to record for the upcoming AEW Video Game. Tony referred to the game as "Fight Forever." Another poster in this thread said they did the same thing during Rampage tapings in Dallas.

I hope that game is decent. Making a major game from scratch in 2022, even with years and years of development, seems a tall ask.

Hopefully they go for gameplay and not graphics and online modes as the selling point.

Not just wrestling, but obviously all sports games,its the same thing. We once had an era where we had different companies putting out different games, some could be realistic, some arcade like.

Now, we just have 1 style for every game, and online play and microtransactions are the focus. If someone wants to differentiate themselves, just offer what others dont, and in this case, that's a wrestling game with more customization and better gameplay.

Customization for AEW would especially be big too. AEW fans right now can play AEW matches by downloading caws and arenas. If your game isn't better, people will just stick with getting 2K.

If your game is better, you not only have your fans buying it, you could have the reverse effect for WWE. People might be buying the AEW game to customize it and add in the WWE guys because that ends up being a better WWE gaming experience than the actual WWE game.
