Re: AEW Off-Topic
So, no Adam Cole on Raw,NXT or SD this week, and today seems to be the latest reported date that his deal runs until.
Next week is Dynamite, Rampage and All Out. Could we see him show up then?
I wonder if he's ever been part of OS.Last edited by Majingir; 08-27-2021, 11:45 PM.Comment

Re: AEW Off-Topic
Dax has made multiple references to this being FTR's "last ride" and people are speculating it's because of Cash's injury that he may be forced to retire. Any truth to this?

Re: AEW Off-Topic
Kurt Angle revealed that AEW had been talking to him about signing a deal.
He rejected a deal for many matches. Also rejected a deal for a few matches.
They also offered him a deal to just make an appearance and he also rejected it.
Seems like he's fine being away from wrestling right now. I could see that last deal being revisited one day. Maybe a guest enforcer, or a Bischoff like appearance.Comment

Re: AEW Off-Topic
So let's say Jericho does lose at all out. Seems like they're emphasizing the "will not compete in AEW again" part the most.
He has his Jericho cruise again, which Tony Khan said it isn't an official AEW event. So perhaps we could see loopholes like that happening?Comment

Re: AEW Off-Topic
Still feels so weird seeing all the new faces in AEW. Bryan for me is the weirdest. Sure, Punk hasn't been in wrestling for several years, but we've seen Bryan in WWE for a decade.
When Dynamite just started, WWE Backstage with CM Punk was now starting up, Adam Cole was the face of NXT in the "Wednesdays Night Wars" and NXT champ, and Daniel Bryan competed for the NXT and Universal titles in the same month.
Less than 2 years later, they're all in AEW.Comment

Re: AEW Off-Topic
As weird as you think seeing them in AEW is, that was the feeling a lot of us had seeing them in WWE.
It's the early ROH/FIP crew that everyone knew would be huge stars if they got the opportunity in wrestling. Now here they are coming all back together being the stars we knew they would be.
Daniels is in AEW, Bryan is there, Low Ki will hopefully never be there.
Then you got the Punks of the world. Homicide fits in this group but I doubt he shows up.
Up next to AEW are the Kevin Owens and Sami Zayns. I fail to see how they turn down an offer to work less days for what I assume is comparable money, while being surrounded by their good friends and having a more creatively pleasing job. WWE has a lot of convincing to do between now and when their contracts run out.badComment

Him and Zayn I definitely could see leaving, although KOs deal apparently isn't up until 2023. Zayns I read is up soon (fall 2021), perhaps he retires after that? And unrelated, but that El Generico guy could join AEW one day? Nakamura I could see going back to New Japan and possibly doing what others did with the "forbidden door" stuff that we're seeing with other NJPW talent in AEW.
Those are probably the biggest names I can think of that are left who would make sense leaving. For the women, Charlotte is the only one I could think of, but even that seems unlikely unless she is unhappy in WWE, which I doubt given she is the face of the division and probably making big money, but you never know how appealing it could be to her to go to AEW and not travel much while having Andrade there.Last edited by Majingir; 09-07-2021, 06:08 PM.Comment

Re: AEW Off-Topic
That's exactly it. Some it was just weird seeing leave ROH, PWG, NJPW, or AAA for WWE, but now in a sense it feels like they're back "home" in AEW. Dragon, Punk, Cole, Andrade, Mox to an extent, Black, Pac, Gallows & Gun. All the guys who were well established enough before WWE that we saw, now feels like a homecoming to be under the AEW banner. Hopefully one day some of Steen, Generico, Claudio, and Hero can join them.St. Louis Cardinals | Milwaukee Bucks | Los Angeles Rams
