Not really. It's excitement for potentially entertaining commentary. If we want to compare the freedom allowed for AEW commentators versus WWE commentators, that is a conversation to have, but I'm not going to enjoy AEW just to spite WWE lol.

I know there are people that are doing this, but man what a waste of time. I can't imagine living life this way.

i've been on the internet long enough to know it'll never be this way, but i always feel like it'd be more fun to be a wrestling fan if people focused on the things they liked/loved about it, instead of trying to be a critic about every single solitary move made by any company.

That's how I watch it (the focusing on little things part, not the watching in spite part).

People made such a big deal about "AEW VS NXT! WEDNESDAY NIGHT WARS! WHICH WILL YOU WATCH?!"

Last I checked, it's the 21st century. We have technology that allows you to record shows and watch them at any time. Why can't people watch both?

Even in WCW vs WWF days, why couldn't people watch both shows? Watch one live, use your VCR to record the other show.

It wasn't the 90s, but I did it in the 00s. I'd use a VHS and record shows if they went on too late or I just couldn't watch it.

I think I still have some VHS tapes of some past episodes of Raw I recorded. Probably those 3 hour specials (I miss when 3 hour Raws were special because it only happened once a year or so).

Why don't you just say Brother Love and Mercury's names next time? Cause this is them, lol.

I was hyped for AEW in the beginning but I think all wrestling equally sucks right now. Or should I say nothing interesting enough for me to even watch highlights anymore, let alone sit down and watch a show.

Nah. I just don’t care for the stuff I think is crap AEW rolls out each week. Don’t watch much WWE anymore, but I prefer it to AEW.

If I had to recommend anything to check highlights of, I’d say…

              - Smackdown’s pretty good right now
              - AEW isn’t always great but never totally bad
              - Avoid Raw and NXT

I have a group that I regularly watch AEW with, but that is more because it's a convenient time for all of us to watch live. Not gonna try and sell anyone on anything but we all find it to be fun. Recently I've been less interested than normal, but two of the guys in the group are loving it, and it's just kinda nice being around people who want to enjoy things.

Tbf I infrequently read/post here because I assume it'll be the same as everywhere else, I mostly just stick to the soccer forums. I don't really know either of those people and don't really care to tell them what to do, just in my experience talking and enjoying the product with people has just been more rewarding than the years I put in being overly critical of everything. Think talking about wrestling all over would be more fun if people focused on the stuff they loved instead of the stuff they didn't.

I think you got that a bit backwards. He said “people who watch AEW just to spite WWE” both Brother Love and I prefer WWE over AEW. But if you think I hate AEW or my criticisms come purely from a blind allegiance to WWE then you haven’t really been reading my posts

So..."Tommy End" going to AEW in September? And do we see Lana/CJ go to AEW, not so much as a wrestler (the womens division doesn't need her), but as a manager for Miro?

I'd rather see Tommy End just kinda do the rounds on the independents before signing with a company, feel like he has a lot to offer over a year that might get wasted in any company right now, then he can settle down and move forward.

Extremely interested in Heidi Lovelace/Ruby Riott in the AEW women's division though.

I'd rather see Tommy End in ROH to be honest.

Just like Samoa Joe, he can pick literally anyone because he's bound to get offers from every company.

I'd like seeing him in AEW and join up with Darby and Sting. He could take his darkness stuff to a different level.

Definitely agree with you. Of course everyone has their preferences, which is fine.

Can't remember what wrestler was saying it in a interview, but he said that wrestling is one of the few industries where the workers themselves preferred you don't have any blind loyalty to any company, and support the industry as a whole because of the cylical nature of the business...
