I think the novelty has worn off.

You're trying to make your fans care about matches when most probably have no idea who half the people on the card even are.

Of the 7 matches so far, only 3 of them have every participant that I've heard of before this event.

At least make it feel special by having it in Japan. Time different would suck, but what if it's something like a 12pm local show on a Sunday which would be 11pm eastern or 8pm Pacific Saturday. Still not perfectly ideal, but would be interesting to try it out and see how it goes.

AEW already has a long term story problem, and Forbidden Door shows are even less focused on that. Combine that with the bloom being off the rose for both promotions, upping the number of big shows every year, and you have less excitement.

But... AEW knows how to give their hard-core audience what it wants on PPVs and that seems to be enough to pay the bills.

Conrad reveals that someone texted him saying that
        Spoiler

Has reached out to people within AEW about possibly joining AEW

That would be so crazy if it actually happened, although I'm surprised he wouldn't go to WWE since Vince is out of the picture.

But what a crazy timeline if that happens.

Would be funny if they used his nickname instead of his full name.

Wholesome Dax Harwood moment as his wife and Cash got him a surprise visit by Bret Hart for his 40th Birthday. I really do enjoy seeing current wrestlers mark out for legends, really reminds us that they were once fans like us too.

Ive never understood why they never made Blood & Guts a PPV yet, its supposed to be their version of War Games yet every single match has happened on free television.

Coming off of FD, looks like they actually are having one in Japan, the night after Wrestle Kingdom.

Which is what should've happened all along.

I don't think Forbidden Door in Japan would have even been a possibility in 2022, because Japan was still limiting capacity for their shows, with no cheering or booing allowed. That's one of the reasons Japanese talent starts coming over here so much. Maybe in 2023.

That's what I meant. The original one was fine, even 2023 you're at least outside the US.

This one didn't feel special at all.

Because there was no proper build to it outside of the AEW World and AEW TBS title matches. It was a good show but it was another show yet again that had no proper build to it.

SRS reporting that AEW is looking to run a major stadium show in Dallas next year. Thinking this might All IIn, perhaps they start moving it around. If so, they need to move their other shows too, get out of Vegas, Chicago and go elsewhere.

That was a problem I had with Summerslam. Can't believe they had it in LA and then Brooklyn for so long. Really hurt the show/crowd when it's basically the same people going to the show each year, it doesn't feel special for them.

Stadium show in Dallas, would that mean AT&T? Toyota Stadium? Globe Life?

Pretty sure the influx is due to the yen being so ****ty as of late.

Looks lIke some international versions of MAX have been uploading AEW Content on their platform. It is not yet available on the US version of MAX but people are saying it's Dynamite and the PPVs.
