I still think AEW does way too many shows, especially if they're going 4+ hours each.

But it'll be cool having so many international shows.

3 already announced, I could see a Canadian PPV announced too. Just go the WWE route, the US based PPVs shouldn't be in some small area. Either a stadium or big arena.

This is a bad look... I know it's poke fun at empty arenas and tribalism nonsense but really hope AEW is able to get attendance back where it was. It's baffling how they do good buy rates for PPVS, attendance at PPVS are sold out, yet TV doesn't get a good crowd.

I wonder what the reason is for smaller crowds for some cities.

Are the cities just not interested enough in AEW? Do they just go to the same/similar arenas too many times where it's basically the same fans going and eventually they get tapped out (due to lack of interest/specialty or money)? Are tickets prices just too much (you can't charge WWE or similar prices for AEW).

This, mostly. It was the inevitable result of running more shows every week, returning to markets again and again, and just being less popular/not the new shiny thing anymore. Adding Collision makes it more glaring because the B show is always going to get hit the worst. They ran that tiny esports venue for a month leading to All In, and it looked like TNA.

But WBD wanted more live content, so they added more shows. In theory the TV deal pays for everything.

I already hated needles, I hate them even more now. The next time the doctor or dentist tells me they are using a needle, I'm out. I was live streaming All Out and had to look away when Hangman stabbed Swerve with a needle in the mouth. Knew they were going to try to kill each other but hot damn.

The entire show was great from start to finish, Osprey vs Pac was match of the night. People may not liked Jack Perry facing Danielson but he proved why he did, hanging with Danielson until the end. I liked the tease at the end with Killswitch and Jack Perry having that stare off before Christian tried to cash in. The BCC kicked Danielson out, Moxley tried to murder Danielson by putting a plastic bag around his head. Yay... Murder!

Someone needs to tell Camille about the power of the best weapon there is in professional wrestling... The Black Hoodie! Next time she is banned from ringside, just wear a black hoodie and nobody will never know!

Could just be more dirtsheet talk, but reports saying the annual All Outs backstage incident occurred this weekend too.

This time it sounds like it could've been with someone not on this card and a production member and security supposedly called to break things up.

It's so vague that it could easily be true but also be made up.

Seems like AEWs tv deal could be nearing completion (I could just see Tony announcing it formally on TV).

Rumors say it's 170m a year for TNT,TBS and TruTV.

I'd imagine that just means the shows stay as is with TruTV just jumping in maybe to air something if there's playoff games on?

Also sounds like MAX might get a separate deal to air the PPVs (which would be a huge win for AEW if they get paid out by HBO for the PPV rights, probably making just as much if not more money as they would on PPV while having way more potential eyeballs on their big shows).

Of course he will lol. And he will really lean into the "2nd most profitable wrestling company of all time" line. I'm sure Bischoff will love that.

And also, that new TV deal will have Dynamite on the air longer than Nitro was (although to be fair, Dynamite will be approaching that mark in April).

Sounds like Dustin's contract expires soon.

I don't think he'd leave AEW. WWE would only offer the "legends deal" which AEW could offer him either staying on TV, or a trainer/producer like role.

An update on the Lucha Brothers, new reports state that Penta's contract is up within the next two months, while AEW plans on adding a year to Rey Fenix's contract for injury time.

So Penta solo run in WWE until Fenix's contract is up?

I would be so down for that. They were expected to be on the main roster anyway, then if Penta flops, Rey will come in and they'll go to the tag division. If Penta thrives, still bring in Rey and do an occasional tag feud while both go solo. Win-win

A whole year in between when Penta comes in and Fenix comes in does seem like a while, but we'll see how it goes.

And we'll see what WWE does to make sure Penta doesn't get viewed by the non AEW fans as "just another masked guy". Even though he'll probably be added to the LWO stuff in some way, but I would've liked Lucha Bros coming in together and then Santos kicks out Los Lotharios and replaces them with Lucha Bros.

Triple H's handling of Andrade has me thinking they can keep things interesting if/when Penta comes in. Getting him back to how folks viewed him in Lucha Underground should be the first priority.
