    Re: AEW Off-Topic

With CM Punk now in AEW, the obvious connection here is AJ Lee.

I see people speculating on if she'd ever end up in AEW, and the consensus seems to be that she might not be able to given injuries in the past.

I'd love seeing her in AEW even if it's a one off. Besides that, not sure how likely it would be seeing her there given how she's been fine outside of wrestling. At most, maybe she could become a trainer or something, but who knows if that would appeal to her.

Clearly most talent will have made their name elsewhere or at the very least gotten experience before coming to AEW. The whole point is to get the best talent they can for the shows. You're not getting ex WWE/ROH/Impact talent showing up on some random indy show in a HS gym for a living.

Let's not forget, AEW is the equivalent of an expansion franchise. That's how you build a roster.
Yeah, plus I feel like WWE gets credit for talent being homegrown when they really aren't. Seth Rollins for example.

Saturday Night Dynamite announced in October.

I wonder how many more they'll have. NHL is starting up in just under 2 months, we could start seeing more weird scheduling before the eventual TBS move.

Saturday is starting to look like it will be the new home for wrestling, at least in the fall. Since Peacock allows users to stream Sunday Night Football, WWE is going to have to move their PPVs to Saturday. With NHL and NBA for AEW, yeah we could see more Saturday Night Wrestling shows.

While I get Orlando being a new city for AEW, I don't get why they picked Miami when they have done several shows there already. Go to Tampa or anywhere besides Florida.

I prefer Saturday PPVs, although I won't be watching live during hockey season, but at least there would be enough time between Saturday night and Raw on Monday to watch it.

Apparently AEW fans are bashing Kojima because he's the one who's wrestling Moxley at All Out and not Tanahashi. If that's the case...no wonder people claim they're so toxic.

Wrestling fans bashing a superstar for reasons that have nothing to do with them?

From what I gather, the long rumored Mox match for All Out was Tanahashi and since he's now the US champ, he's wrestling Ibushi the night before. Kojima doesn't have a match, so he "answered the challenge". Fans are pissed because they thought they were getting Tana.

I honestly could see them holding off on Moxley vs Tanahashi for Wrestle Kingdom.

That seems unwise. Also seems like it would hurt NXT. But I guess NXT is going to be different going forward.

Basically WWE is going back in time.

Then again it worked...just don't know if it will work in the 2020's. As a kid in the 1990's, seeing these huge jacked wrestlers was like seeing real-life superheroes. Ain't no little kid thinking Adam Cole is a superhero so if that's the direction they wanna go then this is the way. We'll see what happens.
