Could explain why MJF was so suddenly/randomly kicked out of the group just like that if they don't have much plans for the group going forward.

MVP (justified or not) burning the bridges he did with WWE/HHH could become true in AEW too if those rumors have some truth to it.
I just read about this and was coming here to post it. He had issues with Triple H and now there are issues in AEW as well if the rumors are true. I can understand the Triple H thing because man did Hunter fumble not doing The Hurt Business vs The Bloodline, Roman vs Lashley. Hell, even Lashley turning heel to go against Cody for the Championship for one or two matches would have been so good. Now in terms of the AEW rumors, MVP may be getting too big for his britches so to speak. I don't know how much Lashley & Benjamin listen to MVP or how much influence he has on them, but it seems he's leading them down the wrong path. Lashley has put people over in WWE so it doesn't sound like a Bobby Lashley issue, more like a MVP issue.

Whether these things are true or not, we'll find out and especially if WWE tries to re-sign them or at least bring back Lashley if he does leave AEW. What do we know is Punk had backstage issues in AEW, since he's came back to WWE there's been zero issues with Punk. MVP meanwhile, publicly hating on Triple H and having issues with creative in WWE, and now having creative issues in AEW. MVP is the common denominator in all of this, he needs to look into the mirror and he'll see who the problem really is.

With WWEs ESPN deal in the US and UFCs Paramount deal as well, I wonder if AEW would be able to get a streaming deal for their PPVs too.

For UFC fans, it's way cheaper paying for paramount than PPVs, and a bonus if they already subscribe.

For wwe fans, it's a downgrade going from Peacock to ESPN (cost wise), unless you already have ESPN, then it's a bonus.

So for AEW fans, going from PPV prices to whatever streaming service they have, whether it be HBO or someone else, that should be their next step.

Outside of boxing, what else is left on PPV? UFC was the other big thing but even they were declining on ppv.

I know you can watch the shows on other services, but what about some exclusive deal like wwe and ufc got?

AEW has extended Danhausen's contract due to injury meaning he is now with AEW until 2026. His contract was up soon and he was expected to leave AEW. Tony did the same for Rey Fenix but let him go early anyway but why Danhausen of all people?

I'd say they're keeping him to use him for October, but they didn't even have him on tv last October!

Jim Ross revealed he re-signed with AEW for another year. His contract was up this month and of course that meant a possible WWE return. JR even confirmed he hadn't spoken to anyone at WWE for a potential return. Good ol' JR is staying All Elite through 2026.

Don't see why wwe would've been interested anyways. At most they'd just have him for a one off appearance, or maybe just a narrator for a doc, but that's it.

At least in AEW he can be used for occasional matches here and there.

To be fair, he likely would have been used in the same role as AEW. Occasional matches here and there, mostly Saturday Night's Main Event so they don't have to bring Jesse Ventura to every one of them. I'm sure Cena maybe lobbied to try to get JR for his final match but who knows. If WWE was going to offer the same deal for the occasional match, he's better off staying where he is and doing that anyway.

JR would've been good, but Michael Cole has really been the voice of Cenas career.

From 02-05 and then 08 onwards.

2001 in wrestling is best known for WM17, WCW shutting down, and the Invasion storyline.

But what people might not associate with 2001...The birth of the Yes chant?

AEW PPVs are officially streaming on HBO MAX starting with AEW All Out. The PPVs still will cost the same but HBO Max subscribers get a $10 discount so you pay $39.99 opposed to $49.99.

AEW also announced that All Out will now start at 3:00PM ET. Have to say, I get why Tony did this but he's essentially telling WWE they can push him around, book their own shows against him and he'll give up.

Any discount is better than nothing I guess, but would've liked it if they just made them even cheaper than that like $10. $40 still seems like a lot to charge for PPVs.

It’s not a great precedent to set but WWE also isn’t going to load every show up like they will Wrestlepalooza.
