    It's my turn to take the hill and hurl against the New Britain Rock Cats for the second time in two weeks, this time at home. I'm beginning to get the hang of this as I have gotten into the sixth inning this time before getting yanked. The first hitter of the sixth inning belted his second big fly of the game, and third off of me overall for the Rock Cats tonight, and that was the name of that tune as the beat goes on for me but a little longer this time. There could be hope for me yet. That home run was a cheapie as it clanked off the fair pole on the right field line.

      I must say, that ERA is rather brutal!

      I wish I had a way to get The Show because I would love to do a Road to the Show, but I don't have a PS2 or PS3 to play it on. It definitely looks like a lot of fun, even when struggling. Plus, you get through a ton of games quickly since you only play the part of the game you are in and only the games you are in if I am correct.

      Good luck for the rest of the season Lynn! Let's try to get that ERA back in single-digits!!!
      Actually, Binghamton was 22-23, 3 games behind, before my start on May 25th, I think. I'm guessing that they are hitting better for the other pitchers. These guys are giving me awful run support.

      If I had to actually play the games, this would be the way to go for me but only for baseball. I really don't need much thumb or finger jockeying for it. I also love the "classic" pitching as compared to using the pitching meter. All I have to do is select the pitch that my catcher is calling for me and then go into my windup. Just two presses of a button or two. Works for me!!

      Isn't The Show available for the 360?

      You are correct. I only play the games that I appear in. It got kind of hectic for a while at the beginning as I was getting my experience as a middle reliever at the beginning before getting a spot in the rotation due to others getting injured or promoted to AAA.

      As I get better, attributes and experience wise, I am seeing my pitches break more and I am going deeper into games.

          My round of goals ended and the only one that passed was the one for fielding percentage. I caught a pop up on the third base line between 3rd and home for my only putout. I think that the first baseman is getting pretty discusted because I'm not reacting quickly enough to get to the bag on balls hit in the hole between 1st and 2nd bases.

          I have received a new round of goals to try to obtain.

          Code:
          1.  Increase h/9 attribute over next 5 series
          2.  Increase durability over next 5 series
          3.  Allow 10 or less earned runs over next 5 series
          4.  Have WHIP of under 1.75 over next 5 series
          5.  Have at least 12.2 innings pitched over next series

            We are on the road again as we head towards the "Constitution State" to take on the Connecticut Defenders.

            I got off to a great start, allowing only 1 hit for the first three innings, while striking out 3. I scattered seven hits in my career high eight innings of work, allowing only a single run in the 3rd inning, and striking out a career high six batters. I was lifted for a pinch hitter in the top of the ninth but this was a great moral boost for me. I even got my first hit of my career! I am batting .200 (1 for 5).

              Between starts I decided on getting more break and velocity on my pitches, along with working on my goals, and got a stern warning in return from manager Oliveras telling me to train to focus more on making my advancement goals.

              I hope that my previous start wasn't a fluke because it was business as usual as I faced the Phillies for the third time this season. I was gone after the fifth inning after allowing four runs on ten hits during the five innings that I pitched. We got beat again, 5-1, as the bats seem to go quiet whenever it is my turn on the mound.

                  This is my last scheduled start for May and we are back in Connecticut to take on the Defenders. It was payback time as far as Connecticut was concerned as the leadoff hitter started the game with a home run just inside of the left field fair pole and my outing finished in the bottom of the fifth right after a 2-run home run had made the score 6-0 Defenders. I continued to get no run support at all as the team is averaging less than 2 runs per start.

                              I'm surprised today as I had been told that the team needed me to go out and throw a couple of innings. Today we are in Connecticut again to take on the Defenders. I broke up a no-hit bid with a texas leaguer to straight away center field but we couldn't score. After getting the first hitter out in the bottom of the third, I gave up three straight hits and surrendered the first run of the game. All of a sudden manager Oliveras comes in and calls for a reliever. I don't know if something caught his eye or what but I was yanked after only pitching 2 1/3 innings and allowed only one run before the surprise hook.

                                Manager Oliveras explained to me that he wanted to give me one more outing before my goals deadline. He later told me that I made a good effort during the last two weeks and made 3 of my 5 goals.

                                Here is the new list of goals for me to reach in the next three weeks.

                                3.  Increase arm strength over next 7 series
                                4.  Have a fielding percentage of .990 or better
