    Ouch!!! What the heck did I do to my pitching hand? One of my fingers is throbbing! I was doing so great too at home against the Mississippi Braves. I had scattered six hits through seven shutout innings and then the pain began. I got my first win since returning and the bullpen preserved the shutout, 3-0.

      After getting an MRI after the game, I was called into the trainer's office and was told that I had torn a ligament in my finger. It looked severe enough that the Suns were putting me on the 60-day DL and that I was done for the rest of the season. This was very disappointing to hear especially after I was throwing so great in my last start, and now I'm done for the year.

            Man, I just read all 19 pages!! haha! This has been a roller-coaster ride for you! Hopefully you bounce back from the injury and make another run at the Show!!! Good Luck!

            I had already started a SP RTTS but I was pulled away by my franchise (currently 5-4 in my 2nd season with the Phillies, 2008 World Series Champs!) and a 2B RTTS that I'm currently in June 2009 and just got called up to AAA Iowa Cubs but after reading this I'm going to get back into it this evening!

              I was taken off the 60-day DL during the offseason. It's a good thing that my contract was for two seasons. It gives me another shot at getting back to Las Vegas before thinking about trying to get to the show.

              I hope that reading all of this has cured your insomnia.

              I've seen more twists and turns than NASCAR at the Glen and the F-1 drivers during a Grand Prix road race.

              The Phillies don't look too bad while I am going through my franchise with the Reds.

              You just need to be patient and keep improving the attributes. I still have a ways to go but you will probably get there as a 2B before I do as a starting pitcher.

                        It is only a couple of days before I make my first ever opening day start for the Suns when we start the season on the road facing West Tennessee.

                        Here are my goals for the next 5 series:

                        1. Increase your bb/9 attribute over the next 5 series
                        2. Increase your splitter control over the next 5 series
                        3. Over the next 5 series, allow 34 hits or less
                        4. Over the next 5 series, allow 17 or less earned runs
                        5. Over the next 5 series, have an opponent's batting average lower than .200 (Yeah, right!)

                              It's opening day and I've got a case of the jitters because this is my first opening day start ever.

                              It wasn't pretty as I had a very rough 2nd inning as I gave up 3 runs. I was done with two outs in the last of the 5th as I give up a solo homer to #57 to get an early trip to the showers. This is only the first start of the season so I have plenty of time to correct and improve things.

                                I was called into the manager's office today and was informed that I was to take the next flight out to Las Vegas and report to the 51s. Hiroki Kuroda was placed on the disabled list by the Dodgers and they promoted the ace starter at triple-a. I called the manager of the 51s and he informed me that I was going to be the #2 starting pitcher for the club during this stretch.
