Yeah, I don't have the time like I used to have to invest into getting deep into a season. I'm lucky to get 2-3 games a week in anymore. I'm content with what works. I hope you all won't get bored following this when the '09 game hits. My gaming time is probably 10-15 hours a week lately and I have Star Ocean, Fallout 3, Oblivion, Tales of Vesperia and this game to put into those hours. I prefer just to go with what's working and enjoy it instead of frustrating myself on sliders and such again. Thanks for always following and hope you all will continue to enjoy this as I'll hopefully eventually give you guys a chance at reading about the Orioles making a pennant push next season.

Guthrie out-duels Mussina as drama unfolds in O's 4-3 victory over Yankees!!!!!

Baltimore, MD - What a great night it was for Jeremy Guthrie and the Baltimore Orioles at the "Yard" tonight. Guthrie, who has been nothing short of remarkable since making his return to the O's after a stint in AAA, once again pitched phenomenal tonight, going 8.0 innings, allowing just 2 runs on 5 hits, striking out 3 batters and doing an outstanding job against the "Bombers" big gun Alex Rodriguez, getting him to ground into 3 double plays on the night. The O's got on the board first in the 3rd when Nick Markakis crushed a 2-run home run off of Yankees starter Mike Mussina deep over the center field wall to give the O's a 2-0 lead. After a Jorge Posada homer in the 5th to get the Yanks to within a run, Luke Scott dialed up his 24th home run of the year to push the lead back to two. Brian Roberts singled in a run in the 7th to make it 4-1. Things were going smooth until Posada once again homered in the 8th, cutting the lead to 4-2. In the 9th, George Sherrill took the reigns from Guthrie and gave up a leadoff walk and a double from Derek Jeter, giving the Yankees the tying run at 2nd with 0 outs. Robinson Cano grouded out to first to score Morgan Ensberg making it 4-3, and then the O's put Alex Rodriguez on 1st. Sherrill then got Shelley Duncan to strike out and Hideki Matsui to ground out to 2nd to end the game, giving the O's a 4-3 win and moving them out of the basement once again in the AL East. New York's division lead has shrunk to one game and the O's will look to continue to spoil that come tomorrow.

Sweet. Nice win against the Yanks and on a 2 game winning streak. My friend, you are now on a roll (at least for the O's).

Thanks man, I'd like nothing better than to sweep the Yankees right out of first place.
