    Jon Garland Takes A Lickin'!!!!!

A strong offense paces the Twins, who score 4 runs off Jon Garland.

The visiting Twins were able to knock off the Angels yesterday afternoon by a 5-1 margin, in front of 30,346 fans in attendance at Angel Stadium of Anaheim. Nick Punto knocked in 2 runs and went 2-for-3 to provide some offense for the Twins. The winning pitcher was Boof Bonser, who claimed his 7th win of the season by allowing 1 run on 7 hits over 8.2 innings of work.

The Twins go to Seattle to start a new series with the Mariners, with Livan Hernandez (4-7, 4.74) set to take on Erik Bedard (10-7, 3.72) under the lights at Safeco Field. Justin Morneau can extend his hitting streak to 24 games in a row.

Thanks man, I'm on a nice roll right now. I'm hoping to finish the year with 70+ wins. Look for day-to-day pennant race updates come the last month. Not that I'll be included in them. LOL!!

Yeah, I like it as well. I'm trying to figure out a process right now just in case Bowie makes the post-season. I'm going to try and get the first game with the White Sox in tomorrow.

Orioles win streak snapped by White Sox in slugfest!!!!!

Baltimore, MD - For some reason when the Orioles and White Sox meet up, the long ball comes with them. Every run on the scoreboard came off of home runs, a combined 7 from the two teams. Carlos Quentin began the onslaught in the very first inning, a 2-run shot to the deepest part of Camden Yards. The White Sox would also get homers on the night from Joe Crede in the 4th, Josh Fields in the 6th and then the insurance from Jim Thome in the 8th. The Orioles would fight and get to within a run on 3 different occasions, homers from Ramon Hernandez in the 2nd, Aubrey Huff in the 4th, and Luke Scott, his 25th of the year, in the 6th, but were unable to overcome the White Sox. Daniel Cabrera lossed his 4th game of the month and his once shining 11-6 record has fallen to 11-10 on the season. The Orioles and White Sox will bring the lumber once again tomorrow night in game 2 of the series.

                  Dodgers Finish Off Sweep!!!!!

There's no place like the road for Dodgers, as they finish off sweep of Phillies.

The road wasn't so unfriendly for the Dodgers last night, judging by their fairly easy 7-1 win against the Phillies in Philadelphia. Jeff Kent delivered 3 RBI's and 3 hits to pace the offense. Derek Lowe pitched 7 solid innings to get his 14th win of the season, striking out 7 and allowing 5 hits.

Tonight the Dodgers are in Washington to begin a series with the Nationals, Chad Billingsley (6-8, 5.14) and Jason Bergmann (6-9, 3.42) are the projected starters at Nationals Park.

O's white-wash Sox 12-6 to force rubber match!!!!!

Baltimore, MD - The Orioles absolutely humiliated the White Sox tonight at Camden Yards. Before the "Sox" knew it, they were on the short end of a 12-0 ballgame. The "Birds" got a 3 RBI singles in the 3rd, a 3-run home run from Alex Cintron in the 4th, a grand slam home run from Kevin Millar in the 5th, and another pair of RBI singles in the 6th to easily secure a victory for starter Radhames Liz tonight. Liz had a career night himself tonight, striking out 11 batters and allowing 3 runs on 8 hits in 6 innings to improve his record to 6-5 on the season. The White Sox showed some pride late, plating 6 runs in the final 3 innings, but it was only half of what they needed as the Orioles picked up their 5th win in the last 6 games and forced the series decider tomorrow night.

Liz pitched pretty well but the bullpen was so-so. Great win though.

                            Streaking Dodgers Keep It Going!!!!!

Surging Dodgers push win streak to 16 consecutive games after taking out Nationals.

The road wasn't so unfriendly for the Dodgers last night, judging by their fairly easy 4-0 win against the Nationals in Washington. Chad Billingsley worked the first 6.1 innings, allowing no runs on 5 hits, to earn his 7th win of the season. Providing a spark offensively was Matt Kemp, though his solo home run represented his only hit on the day. Pitcher Chad Billingsley had to be removed from the game after getting injured (neck sprain), and is officially listed as day-to-day.

The series resumes tonight a Nationals Park, with the visiting Dodgers going with Hiroki Kuroda (12-4, 4.38) and the Nationals offering Joel Hanrahan (5-8, 5.24).

I bought MLB The Show 09 for PS2 instead of 2k9 for 360, and i started a Nationals franchise...

I am experiencing the same struggles as you i am 9-16 and hove no pitching lol BUT ITS FUN!! haha hopefully i'll turn it around unlike you lol jk. Good job continuing with this i am looking forward to next season.
