"O" MY!!!!! Mariners embarrassed at home in one of franchise's worst losses ever!!!!!

Seattle, WA - Oriole fans will never forget this night, as this one will be told for ages, not that it will mean anything to most outside of Baseball City, USA. The Orioles big guns, Mora, Scott, Huff, and Markakis went a combined 15-for-24 on the night with 2 homeruns and 9 RBI's in Baltimore's 13-0 domination of their northwestern foes. The "Birds" as a team combined for a season high 23 hits on the night. Not to be lost in the offensive explosion, O's starter Adam Loewen jumped back to the .500 mark at 3-3, pitching 6.2 innings of scoreless baseball, allowing just 5 hits on the night, including escaping a bases loaded, no out jam in the 3rd with the Orioles just leading 1-0 at the time. The finale of the series will be tomorrow.

It's not that I'm bad, it's my players that don't live up. My pitching is horrible. I can't tell you how many times a pitcher of mine leaves a pitch over the plate on an 0-2 or 1-2 count no matter where I try to place it. The control of my pitchers is less than average. I use the pitching cam with no zone or ball marker, so it's all on judgment, where I move the analog and how long I hold the button, which feels realistic to me. I have a couple good starters and a couple good bullpen guys that I can really count on. Cabrera, Loewen, occasionally Trachsel and Olson, Bradford and Walker. The rest are more bad than good. My guys just don't come through in the clutch as much as I would like them to as well. As we say in Baltimore, "O" Well, there's always next year. The problem is, that's usually the talk after the month of April or May. LOL!! I'm hoping to get some good FA in the off season, if the luck of the draw is with me. Or who knows, I could end up even worse off, pending on who I lose.

Dang son, that is hard to take.. .ouch... well im in pretty much the same boat as you as in the off season i dont know who i will keep and who i wont. i had taken out 2 $50,000,000 dollars loans and the computer just paid one of them off for me so you can imagine what that did to my bank roll. which was pretty goos at the time lol.

im on a win out or im done pretty much stretch in my final four games. i trail the yankees by 3.5 with five days remaining in the season. i have one day off where they will be playing and ill be praying they lose. this time next year with 09 however ill be able to watch it unfold "live" like i was watching it on tv. im still not sure if that is a goos thing or a bad thing lol.

oh well my friend, at least your having fun with it and enjoying it. ill try to keep up better next year with you. this year for me was a personal mess. have a good weekend...

Ervin Santana Gets Drubbed, Takes Loss!!!!!

Victorious Yankees beat up Ervin Santana, scoring 5 runs off him.

The 58,037 fans in attendance at Yankee Stadium went home happy following the Yankees 7-3 victory over the Angels yesterday. The bullpen was able to preserve the lead for Chien-Ming Wang, who allowed 3 runs on 9 hits over 6.2 innings en route to his 15th win of the year. The offense was paced by Morgan Ensberg, who went 2-for-3 and knocked in 1 run.

This afternoon's game at Yankee Stadium, featuring a match-up of Andy Pettitte (6-5, 4.65) of the Yankees and John Lackey (9-6, 3.68) of the Angels, will mark the end of the series.

Mariners survive O's late to take series!!!!!

Seattle, WA - What a great ballgame we had this afternoon in the finale at Safeco Field between the Orioles and Mariners. The Mariners jumped out to an early 2-0 lead off of O's starter Daniel Cabrera in the 2nd inning on a Yuniesky Betancout 2-run single to left. The Mariners had an opportunity to add more in the inning, but left the bases loaded. The O's got even in the 4th on a 2-run monster shot by Nick Markakis, a 406 ft homerun to right center field at the base of the snack attack shack to even the game. Both Felix Hernandez and Daniel Cabrera would match each other thereafter until the 7th, when the Mariners managed to get a run home on an Ichiro Suzuki RBI single to center field. In the 9th, the Orioles managed to load the bases with 1 out, but J.J. Putz got Melvin Mora to strikeout and Ramon Hernandez to ground out to second base to end the threat and send the Orioles south to Anaheim with a heart-wrenching defeat.

LOL!!! Yeah, it was kind of weird. I had to do a double take to see if I was on the right page. I knew the O's let him go, but didn't know the Nats picked him up. I'm sure he'll go 18-2 next year now seeing he's not an Oriole.

Sorry gtm....they've let me down as well. Like we always say in Baltimore, there's always next year!!!! Go Baysox!!!

I apologize for no updates the last couple days, I've been off work and sick since Saturday. I'm just now starting to get back into things.

Orioles defeat Angels as two teams battle for pride!!!!!

Anaheim, CA - The Orioles put together a 3-run 7th inning to outlast the Angels 5-3 tonight in Anaheim. Casey Kotchman got the Angels off to an early lead with a solo home run in the 2nd. Melvin Mora then retaliated with 2 out, 2-run homer of his own in the 4th, his 18th dinger of the season, to push the O's out in front 2-1. After a Cesar Izturis double to even the game at 2-2 in the 6th, the O's broke loose in the 7th. Brian Roberts delivered a clutch 2-out single to right so Baltimore could regain the lead and then Nick Markakis and Luke Scott followed hit RBI hits of their own to give the Orioles the lead for good. Radhames Liz finally picked up win number 4 in a great outing, going 6.0 innings, allowing just 5 hits with 4 strikeouts and the bullpen did the rest, with George Sherrill closing the deal for his 29th save of the season. Both teams continue the series tomorrow night.
