Yeah. Hang in there. I'm just beginning to like this game more myself. I found an awesome slider set and I got my rosters set so that the simulation results will mirror real life.

The O's Explode!!!!! Trachsel goes the distance, Scott enters in 8th and homers twice as Orioles snap skid!!!!!

Arlington, TX - The Orioles were in need of pitching and hitting as they tried to snap a 5 game skid against Texas tonight. Fortunately they got both. Starter Steve Trachsel brought his veteran experience to the ballpark and gave the O's a phenomenal start as he went the distance allowing only 3 runs on 4 hits. The O's offense was just as phenomenal belting out a season high 17 hits including a 6 run 8th inning capped by two 3-run homeruns from Luke Scott and Melvin Mora. Luke, who came in to bat for Adam Jones in the 8th also delivered with a 2-run homer in the 9th inning to give the O's double digits in the run column for the first time. Oriole fans have to be excited about this performance tonight as they look forward to see if the "Birds" can continue it tomorrow in the rubber game as the O's and Rangers close out the series.

Rangers win showdown with "Birds" behind huge 4th inning!!!!!

Arlington, TX - The Orioles jumped out to a 3-0 lead tonight before the Rangers batted around in the 4th in rout to a 6 run inning and the O's never recovered. The Orioles pitching which showed some signs of life yesterday went back to the same old staff. Garrett Olson cruised through the first 3 innings before being belted around in the 4th and throwing 3 wild pitches in the inning to allow the Rangers to capitalize. Scott Feldman settled down after Luke Scott delivered his team high 11th RBI of the season in the 3rd. Feldman wouldn't allow any more runs and only 3 more baserunners after that before being pulled in the 8th inning. The Rangers got homeruns from Josh Hamilton and Ian Kinsler who stays red hot by still hitting over the .500 mark. The O's fall to 3-7 on the year and are off to Tampa Bay to take on the surging Rays who have won four straight.

"Birds" feast on Rays pitching, Scott continues to be heart of Baltimore!!!!!

St. Petersburg - The Rays jumped out to a 1st inning 2-0 lead off the bat of Carlos Pena who doubled to the left center field gap. That would be the last lead the Rays would see tonight. After Millar scored in the 4th on a passed ball and a Markakis single in the 6th to tie the game at 2-2, Luke Scott once again proved to be the heart and soul of this Orioles squad by exploding with a pair of 3-run home runs coming in the 6th and 7th innings, his 4th long ball in the last 3 games and extending his RBI total to a league leading 17 for the young season. The Rays tried desperately to get back in the game, as they got a home run from Carl Crawford in the 7th to cut the O's lead to four, but the "Birds" would add a Melvin Mora RBI double and a Ramon Hernandez RBI single later in the 8th to secure any doubt that they would be the victors tonight. Through all of the offensive success that the O's had tonight, Jeremy Guthrie finally got win number one on the year and the O's improve to 4-7 as they take game one at the dome here in St. Petersburg.

                          Player of the Game

For the second time this season, Luke Scott
delivered a pair of homeruns in back
to back innings. Luke went 2 for 5 on the
night and had 6 RBI's to extend his league
leading total to 17 through 11 games. This
helped the O's to take the first game of the
