I hope so too man. I'm really getting into this season. My team has some potential to make it exciting if the pitching comes around and holds up it's end. I'll be posting stats for the players at the 20,40,60,81,100,120,140,162 mark, and they are starting to look good. Luke Scot for MVP!!!!!!!!

Rays even series with strong pitching and defense!!!!!
St. Petersburg - The Rays seen something tonight that they aren't too familiar with. Good pitching and good defense. James Shields got his first victory of the season by going a strong 6.0 innings allowing only 2 runs againt the O's. If it weren't for the strong play by 3rd baseman Evan Longoria, Shields would probably not have recorded the victory tonight. Longoria snagged down two hard line drives that would've plated runs to end the 4th and 6th innings and capped it off in the 9th robbing Kevin Millar of a sure double down the line to lead off the inning. The O's had their chances as they loaded the bases in the 7th with nobody out only to manage one run and got the tying run to 3rd in the 9th before Troy Percival recorded his 3rd save of the season by striking out Luis Hernandez to end the game. On a side note, O's starter Alex Cintron extended his hitting streak to 10 games in the loss. The "Birds" will try to capture the series tomorrow as they send Brian Burres to the hill.

Re: Highheat's Orioles (MLB "The Show" '08) Final Attempt!!!!
I started an orioles franchise of my own and they can really hit. Everyone except Adam Jones and Luis Hernandez is good for me. I only played one game so far though and won 5-3. Guthrie went 7. Ramon Hernandez hit a homerune. I'm doing play 1 sim 2 because of time constraints. They are a fun team to play with.My latest project - Madden 12 http://www.operationsports.com/forum...post2043231648Comment

Rays obliterate O's pitching to take series!!!!!
St. Petersburg - It didn't matter who the Orioles sent to the hill tonight as the Rays had the answers. The Rays went gambling tonight at the dome and came away with a 21. That is 21 hits against the "Birds" staff tonight. The O's kept the game close at 4-3 until the bottom of the 7th when the Rays sent 12 batters to the plate and put up a 7 spot in the inning to put the game out of reach for good. Akinori Iwamura recieved player of the game honors after delivering his 2nd homerun of the year in that same inning that pushed the Rays into double digits in the run column. Andy Sonnanstine picked up his first win of 2008 as the Rays continue to play well and keep pace in the tough AL East. Brian Burres once again looked atrocious on the mound as he only went 3.0 IP and gave up 10 hits while he was out there. The O's fall to 4-9 on the season and continue to look up at the rest of the division.

Veteran pitchers untouchable as O's knock off first place "Birds" from the north!!!!!
Baltimore, MD - A night after the Orioles gave up a franchise record 21 hits to the Rays, they got just the opposite tonight as Steve Trachsel delivered another great outing allowing only 3 hits against the visiting Blue Jays on route to a 2-1 victory. After Greg Zaun homered in the 3rd inning off of Trachsel, he sent down the next 15 Blue Jay hitters to come to the plate. Chad Bradford then pitched a perfect 8th and closer George Sherrill capped it in the 9th with a 3 up, 3 down inning of his own to close out the game and push the O's record to 5-9 on the season. Aubrey Huff was involved in both Orioles runs as he delivered a 2 out RBI single to left in the first and tagged up on a sacrifice all the way from 2nd on a bizarre play in right field as Hector Luna caught the ball behind the corner wall in right field and while Huff was tagging to 3rd, the throw hit the corner of the wall and bounced into the outfield. Aubrey took advantage with his great running awareness and rounded 3rd base without any hesitance and scored the game winning run. Alex Cintron also extended his hitting streak to 11 games. The O's will try to sweep the short 2 game series tomorrow night.

Thanks man. Yeah, it's gonna be tough, but I'm not going to give up hope. It's early. I just need to get consistent pitching like last game and not be giving up those 20+ hit outings. That was embarrassing.Highheat's O's Franchise
