Here we go again, O's continue to struggle against AL East rivals, lose 2nd straight to Jays!!!!!
Baltimore, MD - The O's just cannot seem to find a way to beat the Blue Jays. If it's not one way, it's another, and tonight it was a Blue Jay who came into the game without an RBI for the season. J.P. Arencibia had 2 clutch RBI singles to help the "Blue Birds" take care of the Orioles 6-4 at Camden Yards tonight. The Jays took the lead in the 4th after trailing 2-1 with a 3-run inning led by Aaron Hill's double that scored Kevin Mench. The O's got the game even in the 7th when Luke Scott crushed his 18th home run of the year, but the Jays answered in the 8th with a Vernon Wells solo shot of his own off of Jim Hoey, and that was the last of the Orioles on the night. B.J. Ryan closed out the game to pick up his 30th save of the season. On some side notes, Alex Rios got a 9th inning double to extend his hitting streak to 17-games and Brian Roberts was able to collect 3 more stolen bases on the year to bring his total to 40. The Jays and O's continue the four game set tomorrow night.

Diamondbacks Bullpen Struggles!!!!!
Cubs beat up Diamondbacks bullpen, get win late.
The Cubs defeated the Diamondbacks last night by the final score of 4-2, at Chase Field. Pacing the offense was Aramis Ramirez, who drove in 2 runs and went 2-for-4 on the day. Starter Sean Marshall worked 6.1 innings and allowed 2 runs and 7 hits, but he wasn't around when the game was decided, though he does record his 6th quality start of the season. Coming into the game, Michael Wuertz was able to snatch a win, his 4th of the season, pitching 1 inning in relief of Marshall.
The Cubs and Diamondbacks will have their big guns on the hill tonight as Carlos Zambrano will take on Brandon Webb in the series finale.

Cabrera impressive again, O's blank Jays 4-0!!!!!
Baltimore, MD - In a year of disappointments for the Orioles, there are a few bright spots and surprises that have come from the 2008 season thus far. Two of them being Daniel Cabrera and Chad Bradford. Cabrera, who tonight pitched 7.1 innings of scoreless baseball, allowing just 4 hits on the night, and turning the game over to Chad Bradford in the 8th when the Jays were able to load the bases trailing 4-0 with one out. Bradford was able to get a ground ball that gave the O's a fielder's choice at the plate and then got a fly ball to left to escape the inning unharmed. Bradford then pitched the 9th, allowing just 2 hits and not allowing the potential tying run to come to the dish again to pick up his first save of the season, a positive sign for the Orioles not having to turn to closer George Sherrill. As for the offense, Nick Markakis set the pace driving in 2 RBI's, the go ahead single in the 6th and a sacrifice fly in the 7th. The series will conclude tomorrow night as the O's look for a split.

Bynum homers twice as O's erase 5-0 deficit to earn series split in extra frames!!!!!
Baltimore, MD - What a night it was at Camden Yards tonight. The Orioles spotted the Blue Jays a 5 mark in the 3rd inning to fall behind 5-0, but came all the way back via the long ball and clutch hitting. After the 5 run burst by the Jays, Freddie Bynum led off the last of the 3rd with a solo home run onto the flag court in right. The next inning, the O's would get to within one run when Kevin Millar and Bynum went back-to-back, a 2-run shot by Millar and then another solo shot by Bynum to make it a 5-4 game. The O's erased the entire deficit in the bottom of the 8th when Ramon Hernandez followed a Melvin Mora double with one of his own to the right center field gap to tie the game at 5-5. The comeback was completed in the 10th, when Ramon Hernandez capped a 4-for-5 night with a single that made it all the way to the right center field wall to plate Luis Hernandez and sending the Oriole Park crowd home with something to tell their future grand children all about. All of this would not have happened though if it wasn't for the phenomenal bullpen performance from the "Birds". Jensen Lewis relieved an ineffective Radhames Liz in the 3rd inning and gave the O's 4.0 strong innings allowing just 2 base runners, Jim Hoey did his part as well going 1.2 IP, allowing just 2 hits, setting up Dennis Sarfate, who went 1.2 innings of his own to pick up the win. The O's, riding a 2-game winning streak will host the Angels beginning tomorrow night.

I'm sure most people are still interested, its just hard to tell sometimes especially with the explosion of dynasties on here, there must be like 20 new ones.I'm not sure too many people are following mine either, but like I told you before, hopefully there are people out there who are following and getting some enjoyment out of it,but if not,I still have a record of how my seasons went which is cool in itself.Comment
