I've always wanted to do multiple seasons in a baseball game, so now's my chance. Also, with Star Ocean, Killzone 2, and golfing/fishing season around the corner, my bank account is pretty limited, so I have to pick my poisons.
I understand. Well, I know what you mean. I am looking forward to following the Orioles next season.

Hail Cesar!!!!! Izturis helps Angels avoid sweep against Orioles!!!!!

Anaheim, CA - In a game that saw 5 home runs combined on the night between the Orioles and Angels, none came larger than in the bottom of the 7th when Cesar Izturis broke a 4-4 tie, with a 2-run shot to right field, to propel the Angels to a 7-4 victory over the Orioles tonight at the "Big A". Torii Hunter also homered and drove in 2 runs on the night. Sean O'Sullivan came into the game in the 7th in relief of Angels starter Jon Garland to pick up the victory. Francisco Rodriguez pitched a perfect 9th to seal his 31st save of the year as well. In some Oriole notes, the "Birds" got home runs from Brian Roberts, Nick Markakis, and Kevin Millar on the night, but it was not enough to keep the O's on top of the scoreboard. Dennis Sarfate suffered his 3rd loss of the season as he was ineffective, giving up 2 runs on 4 hits in just 1.2 innings. Aubrey Huff, who was leading the AL in batting average coming into tonight, went 0-for-4. The Orioles will head home with an off day tomorrow.

Jeter Drives In 1000th Career RBI!!!!!

Derek Jeter reaches 1000 RBI as his team collects win.

The Yankees treated the Rangers like a rag-doll, clubbing them 11-4 in front of a crowd of 34,911 that was silent most of the game. Robinson Cano carried the club, going 3-for-5 with a home run and 4 RBI's. Ian Kennedy went the first 6 innings, giving up 3 runs on 7 hits, to pick up his 5th win of the season.

The series finale is tonight, and the Yankees send their ace Chien-Ming Wang (15-3, 3.53) to the hill, while the Rangers counter with Luis Mendoza (1-2, 5.40).

Rangers gun down Orioles at Camden Yards!!!!!

Baltimore, MD - It was a wild night downtown at the Inner Harbor, and yet even more wild at Camden Yards. The 45,000+ that turned out to watch two last place clubs saw an offensive outburst for the ages. The hometown team got on the board first, when Nick Markakis hit his first of two home runs on the night to push the O's out to an early 1-0 lead. The scoring from that point on would come fast and furious. After Markakis' home run, the Rangers found some offense from a player that is up and coming, Taylor Teagarden. Teagarden evened the game in the 2nd with an RBI single to plate another up and coming star, Elvis Andrus to even the game up. The O's trailed 2-1 in the 4th, when Markakis and Mora homered in the inning to push the O's back in front by a 3-2 score. With 2 outs in the 5th, the game changed in favor of the Rangers on Freddie Bynum's throwing error. The error plated David Murphy to tie the game and then Teagarden made Bynum and the "Birds" pay with a 2 RBI single to left, giving the Rangers a 5-3 lead. With the momentum, the Rangers added 5 more in the 6th, the huge blow coming off the bat of potential MVP Josh Hamilton, a 3-run shot into the bleachers in right center, pushing the Rangers lead to 10-3. On most nights, this would pretty much wrap things up, but not on this night. The O's responded in the bottom of the 6th, matching the 5 spot, bringing the game to 10-8 heading into the 7th. It would not be enough though, as the Rangers added some insurance in the inning when Teagarden once again came through with another RBI single to right. Josh Hamilton added one more in the 9th and the Rangers won 12-8 in a wild, offensive controlled game. The O's once again find themselves in the basement looking to salvage this season in some fashion, hopefully not finishing in last place.

                        Sheffield Joins 500 Club!!!!!

Gary Sheffield clubs career long ball number 500, but team loses.

Last night the Athletics and Tigers logged some overtime, as the Athletics finally won 13-9 in 10 innings, with a crowd of 32,709 on hand at Comerica Park. Carrying the team on his bat, Daric Barton went 3-for-5 with 2 home runs and 6 RBI's. Usual closer Huston Street picked up a rare win, his 1st of the season, working 1 inning and allowing 2 runs on 2 hits.

The Athletics and Tigers play again tonight at Comerica Park, as Oakland sends Greg Smith (6-8, 4.60) to the mound against Nate Robertson (6-6, 4.64) in game 2 of the series.

Thanks man, this game is really starting to take it to me right now. It just amazes me how much I don't show up against some of the worst teams in the game. Also, my home record is sad.

Rangers on verge of sweep, O's lose again at home!!!!!

Baltimore, MD - Kameron Loe got the spot start against the Orioles tonight for the Rangers. He took advantage of the opportunity, giving up 2 runs on 8 hits, but got out of key situations to help the Rangers win 4-2 at the "Yard" tonight. The Rangers led 2-1 in the 4th when they got a 2-run home run off of the bat of Jarrod Saltalamacchia to push the lead to 4-1, and the O's would not be able to key a comeback. Daniel Cabrera, once sitting at 11-5, lossed his 3rd straight decision, giving the "Birds" their third straight loss. Luke Scott gave the O's a little offense, belting his team high 21st home run of the year to make things interesting, but it wasn't enough. The O's will try to avoid a sweep tomorrow before heading to Cleveland for a 4-game set with the Indians.
