In a non-divisional contest, Phillies earned the win.

Playing in enemy territory yesterday, the Phillies drilled the Cubs 9-0 in front of 38,467 fans at Wrigley Field. Chase Utley drilled a home run and drove in 2 runs to lead the offense. Brett Myers worked the first 6 innings, allowing no runs on 4 hits, to earn his 7th win of the season.

The Phillies wrap up the series behind their best pitcher, Cole Hamels (11-7, 4.50), who will be opposed by Rich Hill (1-1, 2.89) when the series concludes this afternoon at Wrigley Field.

Sure is, but I guess I should be used to it by now, they're always dealing away good potential. It's a wonder Guthrie is still there along with Markakis. I just hope they stick with these two and build around them, but seeing another potential losing season is ahead of the O's, I wouldn't be surprised to see them elsewhere come the trade deadline.

I used to use dynasty manager, but they changed everything. Feel free to copy and paste them from my thread. You should be able to find complete standings on the thread every 20 games and you can use the logos. I just click on the logo, delete it, copy image of the logo I want to replace it with, go up to the top where the bold, italics, underline, etc...and pick the picture that looks like the mountain (yellow, green) and right click paste and hit ok. It should replace it. As far as the team name and standings, I just click beside them, backspace and re-write. I have no need to ever go to dynasty manager or another site anymore, other than the starting pitchers and to yahoo for the larger team logos.

Tampa Bay, FL - James Shields delivered 7 innings for the Rays tonight, giving up just 2 runs on 8 hits as the Rays overcame a 2-0 1st inning deficit to cruise to a 7-3 victory and take 2 out of 3 games against the Orioles at Tropicana Field to end the month of August. B.J. Upton crushed a 3-run home run and the Rays also got long balls from Merrill and Longoria in the 8th to pace the offense. The Orioles got the tying run to the on-deck circle in the 9th, but Troy Percival got Kevin Millar to ground into a double play to secure his 30th save of the season. Daniel Cabrera was once again ineffective, giving up 4 runs on 5 hits and walking 5 to push his record to 11-11. Nick Markakis delivered yet another base hit to extend his impressive hitting streak and pushed his RBI total to 92 on the season while Brian Roberts stole his 51st base of the year in the losing effort. The Orioles are off to Boston to open up the last month of the season and are looking to play a key factor in the race between the Red Sox and Yankees for the division crown.
