    Cubs Bullpen Struggles!!!!!

Marlins beat up Cubs bullpen, get win late.

The Marlins treated their 31,277 fans to some free baseball last night, finally beating the Cubs 1-0 in 10 innings at Dolphin Stadium. Luis Gonzalez gave the club a small jolt, driving in 1 run on a 1-for-1 performance. Scott Olsen was terrific over 9 innings, giving up just no runs on 2 hits to get his 18th quality start of the season, but the Marlins were not able to deliver the win for him. Taylor Tankersley won the game in relief of Scott Olson, coming into a tie game and working 1 inning.

The Marlins begin a 9-game road journey tomorrow night in San Francisco, facing Giants' ace Tim Lincecum (9-6, 3.09) in the series opener, while Burke Badenhop (7-9, 4.58) gets the nod for the visitors.

Despite being out-hit, Red Sox rout O's as slump continues!!!!!

Baltimore, MD - The Red Sox set the tone for tonight's game after just 2 pitches, when lead-off man Jacoby Ellsbury took O's starter Adam Loewen deep over the left field wall for an early 1-0 lead. The Sox scored twice in the top of the 1st, then the O's matched them in the latter half to make it a 2-2 game. The "Sox" would once again unbreak the tie in the 4th, a Dustin Pedroia home run to left and then in the 5th, the visitors added 2 more to push their lead to three. The Orioles would once again fight to get back into the game, coming to within one run in the 6th on RBI singles by Guillermo Quiroz and Chris Roberson to make it 5-4. Then we witnessed why the Red Sox are in the position they are and the Orioles are fighting just to be respectable in the AL East. Sean Casey and Mike Lowell delivered a pair of 2-run homers in the 7th and 8th innings respectively and then Lowell delivered a bases loaded clearing double in the 9th as the Red Sox routed the struggling O's 12-5. Josh Beckett picked up his 16th win of the year, going 6 innings and allowing 4 runs and picking up 10 strikeouts. Game 2 will be tomorrow as the O's try to find a way to pick up the pieces.

Actually it was 5-4, but what's it matter right? LOL!!. It's so hard sometimes and I could literally cry watching my bullpen. I just cringe when I have to bring a reliever in anymore. Hopefully something changes soon. The last month is going to be brutal.

Mets Complete Sweep On The Road!!!!!

No road worries for Mets, who again defeat Pirates at PNC Park to sweep series.

In the end the Mets scored enough runs yesterday afternoon, winning 8-6 over the Pirates on the road in front of 32,996 fans at PNC Park. Raul Casanova was the star at the plate, going 4-for-4 with a home run and 4 RBI's. Working in relief of starter John Maine, Pedro Feliciano allowed 1 run on 1 hit in 1.1 innings to earn his 8th win of the season. Pitcher John Maine had to take an early exit, suffering an injury (blister on finger). The full extent of the injury in unclear, but for Maine he's day-to-day.

In the first game of their 7-game homestand, the Mets face the Braves tonight at Shea Stadium, with Orlando Hernandez (6-5, 5.01) scheduled to take on the Braves' ace John Smoltz (7-7, 5.55).

Hey guys, glad to see you're still following. Can't wait to get the next season going, but I have to finish out of the cellar. That's my goal as of right now. Hopefully next year, I'll be the one winning the Series.

Baltimore, MD - The Red Sox phenom, "Dice K" Daisuke Matsuzaka brought his best tonight to Camden Yards as the Red Sox tried to continue to keep pace with the Yankees in the AL East. Matsuzaka was incredible, going 8.0 innings, allowing just 1 run on 3 hits and recorded 6 strikeouts as Boston took game two of the series with a 3-1 victory, giving the Orioles their 5th straight defeat. The Sox got RBI singles from Mike Lowell in the 2nd and Jacoby Ellsbury in the 5th to take a 2-0 lead and then added one more on a bases loaded walk to Manny Ramirez in the 7th, giving Ramirez his remarkable 120th RBI of the season. The O's got to within 3-1 in the 7th on an RBI single by Ramon Hernandez and had runners at 2nd and 3rd with one out, but Matsuzaka proved to be too much for the O's to handle. Jonathan Papelbon came into the 9th and shut the door on the home squad to pick up his 37th save of the season. Nick Markakis continues to be a big fish in a small pond for the O's, extending his hitting streak to 17 games. The finale is tomorrow before the O's have an off day before welcoming the first place Yankees and their fans to Camden Yards.

You are so committed to your dynasty that you are going to skip out on 40 man rosters, waiver wire, arbitration, rule-5 draft, amateur draft in june, etc. Good luck!
