My starting PG, Christian Hunter, is only a soph and that is probably the only reason that he didn't start the season as my starting PG over Lonon, who is a junior. Lonon's awareness ratings are better but with Forte, a center, on the bench instead of Lonon, a PG, my team's overall shooting & rebounding ratings are up 5 points with only a 1 point difference in the overall offense (up 1) and defense (down 1) team ratings. The team is also 6-1 with Hunter as the starting PG. I'm afraid to change them back when Lonon is able to return, especially if the team continues it's latest roll.
Great season! You should be able to move up to a mid-major next year if that is what you are looking for.

I don't really understand your post, though. Why does an injury to a PG result in a center being on the bench? Is Forte that bad a rebounder? Even so, what does that have to do with who starts at PG?

First off, thanks for the congrats on the season so far. The answer is yes, if a larger conference school is interested, so is Coach Knight.

I had let the game decide the replacement with pg Lonon going into the reserve section. The ai decided that Forte, a center, goes on the bench, probably due to Forte having the highest rating of those in the reserve section. I also didn't have any centers on my bench. I was using backup pf's to sub for Sargent. The problem isn't with Forte as far as who starts at pg. The problem is trying to decide between Christian Hunter, a sophomore pg whose overall rating is 1 higher than Adam Lonon, a junior pg, who was starting at pg for me before the injury. Lonon's overall rating is 61 to Hunter's 62 but Lonon's awareness numbers are higher. Hunter is a better ball handler but Lonon is by far a better passer.

I was going to stay at work due to the snow Friday night/Saturday morning and decided to bring along my ps2 for between shifts after going to sleep for a few hours. I ended up playing the rest of the regular season and also decided that Lonon would start once he was healthy because he was the starter before the injury and he wasn't going to lose his spot because of the injury.

Who knows, maybe if Coach Knight gets the Keydets back to the NCAAs, he could be looking at a major conference job (A-10, C-USA or Mountain West) instead of a mid-major. I tend to doubt it though but you never know what the carrousel will bring.

Nice way to take down Winthrop at your last game. Unfortunately, Winthrop still wins the Big South.

Now, go out and win the Big South Tournament!!!
