Daniels sinks a hook and after Travis Holmes and Harris trade 3pters, Lonon banks in a layup on a fast break and Travis Holmes drops in a jumper to give VMI the lead, 7-5, with 15:00 remaining. Reid makes 1 of 2 free throws then after Travis Holmes drills a 3pter, Reid buries a couple of jumpers. Travis Holmes hits a 3pter and after Reid cans a hook and Mendenhall drains a pair of free throws, Hunter puts in a layup. Reid banks in a runner and a short turnaround jumper then Mendenhall and Bridges bank in layups to give High Point a seven point lead, 22-15, halfway through the first half.
