Thanks. I think that I read on another legacy that the conference champions would go to the postseason NIT if they don't go to the "Big Dance".

I was lucky enough to be able to rest my leading scorer most of the time for the last two weeks. As of 3/4, he had only 1 day left on his day-to-day injury so he will definately be starting in the postseason.

Does 2K8 on the PS2 have the NIT? I know 2K7 does not, but I guess they added it for 2K8. That is good news as you will have more chances at postseason play!

Congratulations on the Big South Conference Championship! A very nice way to begin your coaching career without a doubt!

Yes, the postseason NIT is in 2k8 for ps2. Piper said in the coach mode thread that he played in the postseason NIT with North Texas in his legacy. With a little luck, maybe I can get VMI to win 3 more games (Big South tournament) and qualify for the NCAA tournament and not worry if there is the NIT and whether or not we get a bid.

Since there has been no updates this month in their respective legacies, the following teams will be dropped from my watched list at the conclusion of the NCAA and NIT tournaments:

                  Appalachian State
                  Butler
                  Duke
                  Howard
                  North Florida
                  UAB
                  USC.

If anyone would like any of these to be continued to be followed, please let me know.

The following teams will be added:

                  Kentucky
                  Northern Colorado (?).

BubbleFour, if you leave Tennessee-Martin and go on to another team, please let me know and I will start following the new one.

I appreciate you chronicling the downward spiral of Oklahoma State basketball.

They were going pretty good for a while. I guess that there are too many good teams in the Big 12. That could be why the Big 12 had a RPI of 1 in my first year at the VMI helm. Maybe they'll win a game or two this week and at least one in the Big 12 tournament.

I always had thought that Oklahoma State was more of a football program oriented school, much like their rivals in Norman, OK.

OSU is pretty well-rounded in athletics. The AD doesn't traditionally pour everything into football, but instead try and be competitive in any sport OSU competes in.

From 1995-2005, OSU was one of the top 5 basketball programs in the NCAA, with 2 Final Fours, an Elite 8, and a few Sweet Sixteens. People around here really support hoops more than football for the most part, but hoops has been more successful and the expectation is MUCH higher.

BubbleFour, if you leave Tennessee-Martin and go on to another team, please let me know and I will start following the new one.
Nope, I'm not leaving Tennessee-Martin anytime soon. Haven't had as much time this year, so I'm falling behind your pace. However, my team is 5-8 overall and 4-2 in the OVC so far. I'm actually just about to play Morehead State at home (a game that was nationally televised on ESPNU last Saturday ) in a few minutes. I wanted to check first to see if you had any comments on the disappointing news about the pending cancellation of CH2K9,though.

Congrats on the conference championship! Hope you get the NCAA slot, but best of luck in NIT, if not. If you can pull off a win, that'll be one win more than I had with Texas Southern in two tries last year.

I think that it's a shame to see ch2k9 being cancelled. The ch2k series, IMO, is the best basketball series on the market and certainly better than EA's college counterpart, March Madness. Fake schedules? Come on, EASports can do much better than that because they do a great job with it's college football series.

Thanks for the congrats. We were lucky to get past Radford in the first round after blowing the big lead. Thank god Reggie Williams is healthy again. He seems to put the team on his back at critical times and he's a threat from all over the court, defensively as well as offensively. The road to the NCAAs got a little easier with both Winthrop and UNC Asheville being upset, but, VMI doesn't get the home court advantage that it should because tournament games are treated like neutral court games as far as the "6th man" is concerned.

I also meant that as you progress up the coaching ladder, to let me know of your changes.
