Hacker puts in a layup and Monroe dunks home a rebound then Bragg lays in a rebound and Esterkamp banks in a layup to give Boise State a three point lead, 10-7, with under 15 minutes remaining. Hinds sinks a hook and 1 of 2 free throws and after House lays in a rebound, Cohen makes 1 of 2 free throws. Hinds nails a couple of hooks and a short turnaround jumper then Lennon cans a hook to pull San Jose State to within eleven, 21-10, halfway through the opening half. Newsom converts a 3-point play and Byerson lays in a rebound then after Massey makes two free throws and Bragg converts a 3-point play, Massey and Bragg put in layups on fast breaks as the Broncos go on a 14-0 run and leads by 25, 35-10, with 5 minutes to go in the half. Bragg banks in a layup on a fast break and after Hacker hits a 3pter, Dalgarn puts in a layup. Dalgarn and Forney trade layups then after Byerson and Porter trade short jumpers, Hinds nails a jump hook. Bragg drops in a couple of layups then after Sato and Frederick trade jumpers, Frederick lays in a rebound as the Broncos go on a 15-4 run and lead by ten, 23-13, halfway through the opening period. House nails a short turnaround jumper then after Balkman converts a 3-point play and Kirkland lays in a rebound, Hinds slams in a dunk. Schultz and Newsom trade jumpers and after Schultz makes two free throws and O'Hara hits a 3pter, Frederick banks in a layup to give Boise State a six point lead, 31-25, with 5 minutes left in the half. Newsom sprains his ankle while being fouled and Esterkamp drains the two free throws then Massey sinks a jumper and Esterkamp flips in a layup as Boise State opens the second half on a 12-2 run and leads by 14, 39-25, with 15 minutes remaining. Frederick banks in a short jumper and Esterkamp banks in a layup on a fast break and after Gilchrist lays in a rebound, Balkman banks in a layup. Gilchrist sinks a couple of short turnaround jumpers then House converts a 3-point play to give the Broncos a 13-point lead, 46-33, midway through the second half. Wilmont cans two free throws and Havens buries a 3pter then after Bragg drains two free throws and Byerson sinks a short turnaround jumper, Powell nails a 3pter to pull Idaho to within one, 10-9, with 15 minutes remaining. Powell sinks a jumper and Havens puts in a layup then after Cowen and Byerson trade two free throws, Hornsby stuffs in a dunk and banks in a layup to cap a 13-2 Vandals run. Byerson and Havens trade two free throws then Rowell and Frederick trade short jumpers as Idaho leads by seven, 23-16, halfway through the opening period. Woodard makes 1 of 2 free throws and after House lays in a rebound, Wilmont cans two free throws. Hinds slams in a dunk and Massey dunks home a rebound then after Wilmont drains two free throws, Hinds nails a jump hook. Esterkamp knocks down 1 of 2 free throws then Bragg lays in a rebound as Boise State is on a 9-2 run and cuts the deficit to one, 28-27, with under 5 minutes left in the half. Hinds goes coast-to-coast after a steal and lays in the fast break layup and after Wilmont makes two free throws, Bragg cans 1 of 2 free throws and Esterkamp lays in a rebound to give the Broncos the lead at the half. Wilmont has 8 points to lead Idaho and Massey has 8 points to lead the Broncos.

Frederick banks in a jump hook and Massey slams in a dunk then Draughans buries a short jumper to pull Idaho to within eight, 44-36, with under 15 minutes remaining. Bragg drops in a 3pter and two free throws and House swishes a hook and after Hornsby puts in a layup on a fast break, Bragg makes two free throws to give Boise State a 15-point lead, 53-38, midway through the second half. Bragg drains a runner and after Bragg and House put in layups, Powell makes two free throws. Powell cans two more free throws then Boeckmann drills a 3pter to give the Broncos a 20-point lead, 62-42, with 5 minutes to go. Woodard lays in a rebound and both Rowell and Havens sink jumpers then after Dalgarn and Cole bury 3pters, Byerson lays in a rebound as Boise State pulls away for the win.
