Re: Coaching Career of Bob Knight (No, not THAT Bob Knight) - take #2 - ps2

    Thanks.

The way I look at is this:

    1. Win the 2 supposed "cupcakes" left OOC (UVSU and UT-Pan American) to go 8-3 ooc
    &
    2. Split the home/home against the 5 Big Ten teams that are lower than the Buckeyes' OVR (Purdue, Minnesota, Michigan, Iowa, Northwestern)

That would put me at 14 wins with 6 being in Big Ten. All I would need is to sneak away with a win against either the Hoosiers, Spartans or Illini at home, or possibly win the road game against Penn State or on the road against Purdue, Michigan, Minnesota, Iowa or Northwestern to get us to 15, which would be the magic number for a finish of 15-14 heading into the Big Ten tourny. It might not get us into the NIT, but it would not be too shabby of a jump I think for Ohio State after the previous season's last place finish in the Big Ten.

Wow, in your first two Big 10 games, you've held Wisconsin to 32% shooting and Michigan State to 30% shooting. Maybe Thad Motta knew what he was doing, recruiting defense.

The Buckeyes are also perfect from the charity stripe. Too bad you only have nine free throws total in the two games. Do the Buckeyes ever drive to the basket?

We try to get the ball inside as much as possible by driving or passing, as you can see by the number of shots being taken by Feeney, our starting center, but the defense is stopping most of our drives.

Coach Motta also played a more loose defense while I have mine set to play more tightly (50) than his. The shots are being more contested and also being blocked by the tighter on-ball defense.

Wisconsin was rated 78 overall at the beginning of the season. That is quite poor for a power conference team.

I think I am going to start a CH2K chise', to be honest this may be my favorite sports game of all-time. Do this and my wrestling one probably.

I would recommend, with ch2k8 & the 2007-8 rosters (the ones that come with the game), starting as a coach at a small college conference school and working your way up the ladder to eventually a coaching job at a power college conference school. It may take a few years but it will give you a better feeling of accomplishment when you finally get that power conference (Big East, Big Ten, Big 12, SEC, ACC, Pac-10) offer.
