        Yea definitely thanks.

ALSO: Harvard lost to Yale the game before ours so they are now 12-9 (3-2). Still a huge game for us as the winner leads the IVY League. It's about to go down!

HARVARD BACKS UP #1 PRESEASON RANKING

2/9/12 - Providence, RI: Most people thought Harvard was hands down the best team in the IVY League coming into the season. As the year went on, Brown surprised a lot of people and many thought they could and would challenge the Crimson at the conference title. As of today Harvard proved everyone who thought Brown would win wrong and annihilated the Bears by 18.

"Our effort in the 1st half was abysmal" stated Rogers bluntly, "They shot 59% in the 1st half and we scored 15 points. That is pathetic. It was just Linsane how bad it was. To give an example of how poor our effort was, for most of the game, not all but most, I wanted my guys to trap their big man. The first time we double-teamed anyone in the post was with 6 minutes left in the game."

Harvard silenced a seemingly sellout crowd in Pizzitola Center coming ready to play from the tip-off scoring 7 straight, and never looking back.

"And to the first person who asks me how I felt about us scoring 53 points in the second half should be kicked out immediately" angrily said Rogers, "Most of those were garbage points."

It can be said that Brown's starters did play on par with the Crimson starters at the beginning of the 2nd half.

"We made a lot of adjustments at halftime and [Harvard] wasn't ready for them" explained Rogers, "We did a lot of stuff at the beginning of the second half that we should have done a lot earlier and that is my fault. But still, there was no effort coming from anyone in the 1st half and I can promise you that it will not be a fun week for my guys before our next game."

Also, I am thinking about implementing a recruiting rule. Since I am at a very prestigious school academically, I should only be able to offer scholarships to players with B- or higher. At least something like that. What do you guys think?

tough loss to Harvard, . That sounds extremely difficult with the lack of recruiting points available. what if it takes 3 scouting trips before intelligence shows up?

Yea and the intelligence is something that gets higher the better the player is so that's a dumb idea.. Nevermind that recruiting rule haha.

just seems tough with out getting everyones full ratings. Once your Vandy or Duke or Stanford seems like it would be easier to implement. but idk. Maybe you should do that plus be able 2 recruit any other player that has other high academic schools on his list?

Yea maybe once I get to a big school I'll make some rule like that. Thanks for the advice.. Now back to my legacy

                        RECRUITING UPDATE

2/11/12 - Providence, RI: In the weekly pregame interview with Colby Rogers, the recruiting trail became a big part of the conversation.

"We decided that we are going to hold onto the scholarship and use it next year" said Rogers, "We never found a specific person that would make a real impact and would sign."

According to Rivals.com, there were 7 players that Brown was looking at, but none seriously considered Brown.

"We had players who were interested, but none that really really wanted to come here."

Brown will play Penn and Princeton this week. Harvard has a tougher week playing Cornell (4-2) and Columbia (2-4), who is a more talented team than what their record shows.

Yea that's one of the main reasons I chose the IVY League

HALPERN SCORES CAREER HIGH IN BLOWOUT

2/15/12 - Hanover, NH: The game was close until about the 14 minute mark of the first half when Penn went into a 2-3 zone and Tucker Halpern hit 3 3s in a 2 minute span.

"What Tucker did tonight was remarkable" said Rogers, "He was a machine out there from downtown and just didn't miss"

Tucker Halpern, Brown's top scorer, had a career high 37 points and a career high 7 3s. 6 of the 7 3 pointers were in the first half.

"They just switched to a zone and I found a spot where they couldn't get to me" explained Halpern, "Most of the 3s I shot were on the left wing. I give the credit to the other guys in the locker room because they found me and hit me with good passes."

"I was kind of surprised honestly" laughed Rogers, "Between Tucker and our other power forward, Dockery Walker, we scored 47 points and I honestly thought that most of our scoring would come from our backcourt tonight.

"But we still struggled on the rebounding which I obviously don't like. We did clean that up in the second half. But still, there is a lot of room for improvement in that area."
